Heh if the Rattlesnake’s hull bonus applied to light drones you could fit rapid lights and absolutely murder small ship gangs. ---

Drones being repaired inside the bay isn’t a bad idea per se. If it consumes a little bit of paste, why not? Also it’s kind of an old idea. ---

I kite so my drones get agro. I rotate it to the drone bay, relaunch and have it orbit/repair/engage. By that time another is in trouble. Rinse and repeat. No, it’s not worth the trouble when there are much better ships suited to the task. I just did it to train myself for pvp so I would not panic when someone would target my drones. ---

With how ai now auto-aggros drones over everything (I once had frigates targeting my hob I’s over my RHML II’s with a rigor mod and stasis grappler Typhoon Fleet Issue) the only viable option for pve droning is long range sentry sniping with high slots dedicated to a couple remote reps and faction sentries (for the HP buff). Dominix does this role magnificently with a MJD. It’s a pretty ideal mission boat as you don’t need to worry about ammo. ---

I think it could be easily balanced if while a drone was being repaired counted as one of your 5 deployed drones, and you couldn’t do it with a combat timer on.
