# DX12 - better performance but game freezes every 10 minutes

Is everyone running DX12 (the setting in the launcher)? Or DX11? For me (RTX 3050 6GB) the game freezes every 10 minutes when running DX12. But the performance is way better…  
Maybe someone has a fix or idea?

Unfortunately, i can’t help but just report myself that i have similar issues with DX12.  
When using DX12, i could play for like 4 hours and then my game froze. After that, it immediately crashed as soon as i logged my character in.

I tried different wine/proton/(-ge) versions and also the steam game to no avail. After disabling DX12 in the launcher it works again (at least not crashing at login).

Running latest Fedora on Wayland.
