## _“Char? You want me to tell you about Char? Oh man, I still wake up screaming from the nightmares I have about that pit. A thick layer of ash covers everything, and there’s this eerie red glow that comes from the magma that seeps up through the surface of the planet. One wrong step and you find yourself wading in a pool of hot lava. You ever hear the scream of a man as he is being burned alive by lava, Major? It’s not something you soon forget, let me tell you. And if the infernal planet doesn’t get you, there’s always the damned Zerg that’ll try and finish the job. Those devils were everywhere, and they killed a whole lot of my buddies in ways I don’t want to remember. Char was a hellhole, alright, and I rather have you kill me than send me back there again.”_ -Debriefing of UED Marine 384DTA47631 ![Lava World 25%](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/a/4/e/a4e06ac8b55168ecedb9b114d71418cb77b2c7c9.jpeg) ---

## "Such pristine beauty. ## Such destruction and war, over what? A home we never knew? A world we know only from records? A species-wide folly fought over a blue marble, lost beyond memory? ## Can you all truly say to me that this is all worth it? That everything we have done, is it worth it for a past we can never return to? Do we really have to fight a war for a people we no longer even culturally resemble? ## Let this be our beautiful blue marble in the blackness. Let this be our first steps towards forgetting earth and the struggles of the gate closure. Let’s do this together, not for earth, but for all of us." -Suspected Caldari Elder (All made up by Haconen) ![Blue marble in the blackness](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/9/0/4/904f76c52a26a9e14ff31b7f51447adbb9351db1.jpeg) ---
