# Epic account on linux

As I have stated before ([here](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/steam-june-2023-upgrade/410780)) I started on Steam but you can drop Steam and keep the Steam account as I have done. John Rochard was a Steam account but has been converted by visiting the Eve Online homepage and changing the account from there.
