# EVE Client - Hardware Acceleration

Hello again,

I’ve noticed in the client settings that there is an option for “Enable hardware acceleration.” Is it better to use software accleration or possibly “dangerous” to use the hardware acceleration option? Are there any times its advisable to use hardware acceleration?

It’s purely for the launcher, not the game itself.

Okay, thanks. So this might make the launcher launch faster then, but no real benefit otherwise?
