Hello,

I had an issue where EVE would drop to 20fps (from 150-180) upon undocking or jumping gate.

I undervolted my CPU and used Nvidia app to apply their basic overclock.

This didnt help much, but i did get better general FPS.

Now, out of the blue, the game just freezes. Especially If i try and use chrome.

I totally uninstalled EVE and chrome, and did a fresh install of both. Restarted the PC. Defragged etc.

The issue is still there.

My PC:

5700X3D
32GB 3200mhz Ram
Nvidia 4060
latest type of hard drive - 1TB

As it stands, EVE is unplayable if I have any other programs/windows open. Upon switching to them, eve totally freezes. sometimes for 30 seconds, sometimes totally.

Thankyou

Set the BIOS to default settings first.

Then for undervolting a 5700X3D, a common starting point is a -30 mV offset for the fastest two cores and -30 mV for the rest, with TDC (Time Domain Clock) set to 70.
That should work.

Or you set the Watt value to 65 Watt in Bios, when you have that option in BIOS.

But undervolting is not always working well in some cases so you must find the optimal setting for yourself.

And don’t use those tools recommended, always make the settings directly in BIOS.

Hiya, yeah i did alot of tests with the UV - it’s set to -30. I use PBO tuner2 and then a command script to have it auto load after starting the PC. I’ve found its very good.

I don’t think that’s the issue though, as i did the undervolt about 2 weeks ago and eve has been FINE, up until now where it’s randomly just started freezing.
