@Mike_Azariah sorry to hear about this, I passed the news on to Lucy who is currently with her mom on the west coast today. She said, if you need anything, let us know. Oh by the way, I add whisky and not beer to mine, also you forgot the ghost peppers in that chili. šŸ„µ @Aiko_Danuja I know you think it is cute to roleplay about this here, but as the vets all know [permits are listed scams](https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Scams_in_EVE_Online#Mining_Permits). I donā€™t know, if you are just joking around, you think it is funny, or who you are attempting to fool here, but it is not working. Lucy had an Astrahaus in HS blown up last year by a group claiming to sell permits. So you know where you can shove those virtual permits. Also about the Route 66 analogy, I predicted the new Exordium system would act like a sponge. Now we shall see how long it takes for the sponge to hold back the spillage, which I also predicted will happen in a month or two. It _feels_ kind of empty in the game with most of the rookies in Exordium. I hope FC doesnā€™t plan to fill the rank with NPC bots as PUBG did. Fly safe o7 ---

I pour it over the onions as I saute them with the round 1 spices (before I add ground beef). It sweetens the onions and adds a mellow agave flavor. The funny thing is, I chose to be making chili for that vid because @Fuzzysteve put a chili recipe in lieu of a redacted section in on of the old CSM minutes. It was a sort of call back. The recipe that I use? Based off of a recipe by Lucy Wavermanā€™s cookbook dash of oil, 4 onions, rough chopped Garlic, min 4 cloves diced 3 lb ground round beef (lean) salt and pepper to taste 28 oz (795 ml) diced tomatoes 3 tbsp tomato paste 1/4 cup chili powder 1 tbsp oregano 1tbsp ground cumin 1 tsp cayenne pepper (I go light on that per wifes request) 2 tbsp apple cide vinegar 2 C beef stock 12 oz beer (heck the whole can) cooking. Onions and garlic till tranluscent, then beef till not pink. Tomatoes and paste and spices, stir. Liquids, stir, bring to boil then down to simmer for an hour. Optional Add drained can of red kidney beans at 45 min mark, stir and continue. But look, chili is one of those recipes that varies wildly place to place, Family to family. You cook with what you got and make the best of it. Enjoy m ---

There are many people in this game who pay for mining rights, hauling passage, blue status, moons, holes, etc. Although some people may conduct permit scams, the permit process is quite real and has existed in EvE for much longer than I have played the game. Even if permits were scams, there would be nothing wrong with selling them, as this is EvE Online and scams are not only allowed but explicitly encouraged. ---

All I am saying, you are selling your shoddy goods to the wrong crowd. Go attempt to sell something you cannot and will never enforce to the naive rookies in Exo. For any rookies reading; Mining permits were honorable instruments, BRUCE would buy them, mining conglomerates would buy them. They are a handshake deal that you wonā€™t come under attack for one month, while you mine in the space claimed by the sellerā€™s corp. This is akin the 1920ā€™s and 1930ā€™s protection racket ran by the mobs of New York and Chicago. Since this is a handshake deal, it can be broken upon payment. Protection rackets are not worth discussion in Mikeā€™s thread, I refuse to respond further to this side topic being used to derail the discussion. Now do you have a chili recipe for us? Ghost pepper. Iā€™ll have to try eating one whole. Apparently, I have a high tolerance on the Scoville scale and as always want to punch above my level After a quick search, whatā€™s the best way to test myself? I see many variations. sauce, whole, fresh, etc? Iā€™ve amazed cooks in the past so this should be good! šŸ˜† ---

These guys go to different Florida beaches and hit the little spice and sauce shacks scattered about and buy the ones they want to try out and bring them back for all of us to wet our whistle with. Just a tip of a toothpick will set me on fireā€¦yep thats it for me. I dont know how some people can eat that stuff and it not effect them one tiny bit. ---

Donā€™t ask me how I can survive it, but I was at a small bar known for its good food and talking to the 2 cooks as to how much I could tolerate. As any long-term forum poster will know, Iā€™m full of myself so I asked them to test me. They came out with a small paste on one of those small sticks they use. I said that was good. They looked at each other and decided to bring out another patse, that one hurt, but not so bad that I flinched. I paid for it the next morning but would do it all over again to prove that I could survive it! Life is shorter than you think! Push your limits while youā€™re still alive to do so! šŸ˜‰ ---

I can tell you that (at least for me and other spice aficionados Iā€™ve known) itā€™s not that the spice doesnā€™t have an effect on us. It certainly does. I still feel the burning sensation as pain, but itā€™s moderated in my brain as a ā€œpleasantā€ experience. (Pleasant isnā€™t exactly the right word, but itā€™s like a heady rush.) If I eat _extremely_ spicy food, it almost feels like being high. I donā€™t do that too often these days, as Iā€™m getting older and it really tears the hell out of my stomach lining. Anyway, point being, if spicy food didnā€™t effect me, I wouldnā€™t eat it. ---
