I cannot to add API keys. Login and password are entered correctly, but in IE instead of chrome (default), and after selecting a character shows a blank screen with the error “can Not display a web page.” Antivirus is off.

@KenFlorian sorry about that. I thought I had it fixed.

I was finally about to reproduce it and pinpoint the problem.
Now it should be fixed.

@Cedoh and @TheLazyOne_Arji, thanks for your reports.

I just released version 8.4.4

- Regenerated the webservice reference completely.
- Added some error catching to get more details when refreshing the prices fails

I am not sure why but on my side I cannot reproduce the API error.
No matter what I do it goes through without any issues. ☹
Anyway, I cleaned all references to the webservice before regenerating it.
Hopefully this will clear away the problem and let your experience the tool.

@TheLazyOne_Arji, Actually I already made a F1 tutorial.
But it is far from complete, and unfortunately I do not have time to fill it up as I have to focus on higher priorities (notably by family)
I will try to take time from time to time to work on it.
But no promises.

If you have any problems, or need explaining on functionalities, just ask your questions here, and I will do my best to answer/clarify things for you.

Hi,

The tool looks interesting, but i personally do not like the UI being transparent, it confusing the hell out of me and to be fair, i dont understand a thing about it, everything i do, want to do or try is a bust and doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t appear to help me at all right now.

Is there a tutorial you made for this tool? Cheers

@AFLuXx you can change the transparency setting in the **Tools** tab.

There is not tutorial available at the moment.
I am working on one whenever I have time (which is not often unfortunately)

If you have questions about things you want to do, ask them here and I will do my best to answer and provide clarifications.

Not really a good news.
I had to wipe the Market history data because the database just reached its max size (500MB).
I have modified my gathering tool to clean up data older than 9 months automatically from now on, which should reach a bit under 500MB.
At the moment I cannot afford to pay for a bigger database which would allow me to keep more data.
In the future if I can, I will.

Any chance of an option to use the old UI? I really struggle with this new one, it’s pretty much unusable as is because of it.

It’s just really unintuitive and confusing.

- What is, and isn’t a button?
- Why is it transparent?
- Why is there a news ticker?
- What’s the whole bottom pane for?
- Options being hidden behind the aura picture was unexpected.
- How do you get back into configuring a planet in `Planets Plan`.
- Text input & autocomplete on the `Production Plan` selector.
- `Production Plan` selection dropdowns aren’t clearly associated with the relevant tab.
- What does the blinking 3-bar thing in the bottom right mean?
- It’s not clear that it doesn’t save automatically, and where the save option is.
- A link to the documentation from within the app would be nice
- Documentation is out of date as it shows the older UI.
- Can’t drag window around by clicking top bar because of the news ticker. Have to click logo.
- No “no results” or similar feedback on `Find` tab.
- Prices should provide a default region.

It just feels like an exercise in ‘Looks cool’ and not usability. I, and several of my corp members have all tried and failed to use this app. It clearly has all the functionality buried underneath, but it’s so frustrating and confusing to use it has but a tiny percentage of the userbase it could have. And, unfortunately for a lot of us, is just completely unusable.

Ok, those are all valid.
Thank you for taking the time to list them.
I will see what I can do.
I can probably start by updating the documentation.

Please note that the UI design is actually heavily inspired by EVE Online actual design.
For example: the Aura menu is what you see when you go walk around the station and interact with her at the table (if I remember well, it’s been a long time).

And yes, it is, in part, an exercise in ‘Looks cool’.
I am trying new ways to design things that are more SciFi than the usual Gray-Square-Window98 look&feel.
There can be hit and miss.
That is why actual feedback, like yours, is very valuable.

So I’ll go through your list and see what I can implement in a reasonable time.
Keep in mind that I have a demanding job, as well as two young kids that are equally, if not more, demanding; so it might take me a bit of time to do it.
But I will do it.
