The forum fetches your portrait when you log in. I would also wait an hour or so after you’ve made a portrait. In my experience it can take a while before the game has rendered the final smooth version of your portrait and has sent it to the database for use. I suspect they do the more expensive job of rendering and taking the portait in use in a batch every hour or so, to avoid having to do so repeatedly in a short time when someone keeps taking new portraits they’re not yet happy with. (I’ve never been that person.) ---

Either intentionally or by accident, but he’s placed his character in a way that it looks like his hair is casting a shadow on the wall behind him, when in reality it’s just a pattern on the wall. Rendering error or is it some sort of a tattoo or something? On the female it suits the character, but on the male it looks out of place and like a glitch rather than something intentional. ---

That’s a rare glitch, happens from time to time. I’ve seen it too on one of my characters and when it happens you can take a picture with it. ---

I had a similar glitch. I kept it as my portrait, until the game itself corrected it. It was some months as I remember. I’ve attached a couple of photos as it was so complete a glitch, it was an ensemble not in the database. And I could quickly see why nobody else was using it, the black chest part really doesn’t look good, I had to zoom in so much you can’t even tell what Anna is wearing.
