Two fitting comments from the related r/Eve thread:

> I read this :
>
> We already knew Loru had screwed up, but we wanted to hand down a minor penalty just to put the matter to rest.
>
> However, faced with the community’s obsessive hysteria, we ended up slapping him with a short seven-day ban just to appease everyone.
>
> It’s true that Loru violated our gifting policy by trading ships for money. However, the RMT rules don’t apply to him, because he’s more useful to us than this subreddit full of schizophrenic and obsessive-compulsive disorder with pixel.
>
> And if you don’t like it, too bad.

* * *

> FCs inaction on RMT in general, input broadcasting and now this bs is just a bit too much lol
>
> Meanwhile they’ll ask you 20 bucks per month that they’ll invest into some crypto project instead of fixing Eve.
>
> Plexed my accounts with rl money so far - not going to happen anymore.
