# \[Finished\] Mass test on Singularity 11-14 September

As part of our move to Python 3, we are planning a public test on Singularity beginning this Friday, 11 September, and running through the weekend until Monday the 14th.

**What exactly is being tested?**  
As part of the updates to our codebase, we are deploying new Python 2.7 to EVE! You can [read all about it in the latest EVE Evolved Devblog](https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/the-move-to-python-3-begins)

Because this is a large project, we’ll be periodically opening up Singularity to players so we can test multiple systems in a situation that simulates a live environment. We ran a test back in July which was super helpful to us.

This test is more focused on some optimizations to the network layer and the teams are looking to collect performance and stability data. Essentially - just log into Singularity at your leisure and do stuff to things!

Be mindful that [test server rules still apply](https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/13172315768860-Test-Server-Rules). Punishments for flagrant infractions received on Singularity may extend to Tranquility, and can impact things like participation in the Alliance Tournament and other fun projects.

**How to connect to Singularity for this test:**

Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the bottom right corner of the launcher and log in as normal.
