You’ve lost me. What are you on about? Here’s my position. 1. remove alphas. Make them 2 week free trial accounts instead. 2. charge $8/month to have one(1) nominated character from an omega account to be verified, checked, and allowed to post on the forums. 3. Alphas can use the in-game ticket feature if they need to contact ccp for critical things 4. sweating from hard work isn’t something to be ashamed of. ---

Once the two week trial period is over, a person can either decide to pay the monthly subscription or not. They can even take a break from paying the subscription during school months, and pay for a month when they are on holiday. The 8USD to have access to _respond_ in the forums is ala carte. You don’t have to pay that if you don’t want to. You just don’t get to respond. Read, that’s free. Respond, that’s going to cost you. The purpose of this: those that really care enough about the game and it’s well being would be those that would pay to use this service. It would eliminate a lot trolls, sock puppets, alt accounts and help reign in the sheer amount of counter productive bickering. This fee would also help to bring on real forum moderators. One that do this for a living. It would be a paid position. I never said they would be denied access to the in game channels. Just forum posting. Unless they want to pay 8$ per month on top of the monthly sub. Remember, it’s ala carte. Ya, I don’t think we see eye to eye on the issue. And that’s okay. I can respect your position even though I don’t necessarily agree with it. But I’m not going to brow beat you with it. I honestly don’t think there should be free accounts whatsoever. I don’t agree with the free to play model. It preys upon micro transactions which is, in my opinion, is scuzzy underhanded way of conducting business. It promotes, exploits and preys upon the entitled mentality. (One of many, Sure. Like the whole “you deserve [insert item being pandered here]. It will make you happy.” Like 99% of the car advertisements out there. But I digress into a personal soap box of mine) But it’s a free market and CCP has chosen to go that route. But the question is, how sustainable is that business model? And that I don’t have the answer to. I’m sure CCP does financial projections and analysis. I just hope the people they have hired / contracted really do know their stuff. ---
