Like Ax’l Thorne said, some ships and ship fitting are optimal for given situations, it isn’t one size fits all. Sometimes you’re going to need more range and other times more dps and knowing _when_ is a big part of playing. ---

The resistance profile of the target is much more important than the general DPS/Range difference of Lasers vs Blasters. Hybrids fire plutonium, iron, yada yada, as well. Even the Eve Wiki page doesn’t say that Void ‘is’ antimatter…it just says there is normal, faction, and T2 ammo. If there’s a page somewhere that says ‘Void is a special kind of antimatter’…it is very elusive. I mean I can see people assume it is…but I cannot find any page that specifically says so. ---
