No, the botting didn’t have anything to do with the baguette incident, although the latter had some degree of automation involved. It was definitely intended to dishonor me. It got pretty bad during the trial. They even couldn’t use words to describe some of the stuff due to local decency laws, so they had to bring in one of those street mimes to act it out. I am so, so sorry. ---

This guy makes about as much sense as your phone’s predictive auto suggest slammed together a bunch of times. Bot and friends getting real mad that the nonsense they spew is being called what it is, lol. ---

Additionally, CCP should have the right to seize the unauthorized botting, besides the fact that the automated code should be submitted to them for review and for approval prior to third parties running them without authorization. ---

Maybe unpopular opinion but I think only solution would be a client-side anti-cheat with HWID bans. I know it’s not bulletproof but from what I’ve heard, cheats that can overcome that basically rely on the client having the latest version. ---

That obviously would not work for technical reasons. I don’t know the details (obviously) but from what I understand, by the time a cheat becomes detectable and banable a new version of it has to appear that doesn’t match the definition. That way any client that doesn’t update in time gets banned. ---

I think point of any anti-cheat is to increase difficulty and risk to a point where it’s not worth it. Not to directly prevent things from happening at all. ---
