Hello, I was suggested to make a suggestion here. So basically I was informed that DED escalations can appear 8-9-10 jumps away from where the capsuleer got the escalation in. I got an escalation myself today in Caldari space and since I was close to Ahbazon I got an escalation deep in Amarr space. If not accounting for Ahbazon I had to jump 56 times to get to the escalation and 56 jumps back to Caldari space. I think you see my point? Can we do something about this, so that the appropriate NPC pirate escalations stay within the same empire space? Doesnt matter if its low sec or null sec but at least if you get those escalations for example in Caldari space they would stay in Caldari space. Having Guristas Scout Outposts in Amarr space so far away from Caldari doesnt make sense at all in any way I think about it. 10 jumps away is fine but please make it to be in the same empire. Open your autopilot settings menu. Chances are you either have “Prefer safer” or Ahbazon is in your avoid list. Untick either of these and your escalation should be at a more reasonable distance from you. ---

I do have prefer safer selected but Ahbazon isnt in my avoidance list. So if I change to “Prefer Shorter” that would solve my issue? ---

The point is that it’s not super far away. The Guristas aren’t setting up their secret bases 50 jumps apart or whatever, to them it might just be four jumps because they’re not insisting on taking a long detour. Yeah Ahbazon can be dangerous, I suggest you use a scout alt or detour through adjacent systems so you’re not using the most popular entry gate. ---

Ahbazon isn’t automatic death. The gates between Caldari and Amarr highsecs are often camped, but the others aren’t, and escalations you can do in perfect safety as long as you keep an eye out for combat probes. ---
