Hello Capsuleers!
By now you would have heard of the upcoming changes to Moon Mining that will be arriving in EVE: Lifeblood. As part of these changes, we will be reshuffling the distribution of moon minerals throughout low and nullsec using a brand-new algorithm.
However, every good random distribution algorithm needs a good seed, and we decided that to get the best seed we would enlist the help of the EVE community. Want to make a definitive mark on the future of EVE? Post your suggestions in this thread, and CCP will pick a shortlist from them for the attendees at EVE Vegas to vote on. The winning submission will form part of the seed used to distribute moon materials around the universe. Your submission can be any block of ASCII characters that matches the rules. This including numbers, words, names, sentences, ASCII art, songs or even a haiku!
A few rules for submissions:
- Seed text must be in English
- There is a character limit of 200 standard ASCII characters
- No obscene language or themes (as determined solely by CCP)
- In your post, put your suggested seed in a preformatted text block
- Multiple submissions in a single post should be in separate preformatted text blocks
- Each submission can be a maximum of 5 lines long
- The newline character doesn’t count towards your character limit
- Entries close Friday, September 29
