Despite what all the fanboys say, the OP is correct… The fact that CCP is repeatedly doing Daily Downloads is indeed a problem, especially when they constantly have to do a restart to fix something major that the previous download broke… They aren’t fixing little bugs like someone else stated, they keep making little changes to the UI and in-game graphics in an attempt to justify their employment… Sadly the current Dev’s actually do more harm than good to the game and quite frankly, they seriously Can’t Code Properly… ---

It’s their game. For all we know, they’re doing old code cleanup. We don’t know and they don’t have to tell us. I don’t think people realize that we are not in control of this game. ---

Dude, what’s so hard to understand that for this type of game genre, Eve Online is currently better than any other game currently available? I was civil in answering your question of why I play Eve Online… And like I said earlier, I’m a paying customer with the right to voice my opinion about this game and the service this company provides… As usual, you’re not civil about it but I will say that I agree with you… I definitely have much better things to do than waste my time interacting with you… ---

It’s pretty cringe the non-programmers sitting around crying about how CCP has “bad programming” - like EvE Online is actually really complicated. Other games are simple and dumb, but CCP really has been quite innovative. ---

Considering how big the code base is, I’m expecting that work is still in progress. ---

Most developers exhaust their current engine, and scrap the entire project - which is why we see version 2, 3, 4, etc. However, doing that disrupts the persistent environment. CCP has thus decided to migrate the entire server onto a new engine, which is an incredibly complex and difficult task. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game company do this before. Regardless, it will ensure EvE Online has a future, and I am glad they invested their time in this critical process. ---

Reading all this slop was very entertaining. Ah, by this point it is actually expected to have so many people blabbering stuff just for sake of blabbering. Well, my PC is not only perfect, but it is actually better then many of yours “professionals” in this thread, with all your opinions and rigs that have not much sense. For example, calling “ssd+hdd” a “poor rig” just screams to me that you have zero experience or sense and knowledge about building PCs. But that is “A OK” my forum dwellers- it is completely OK. Also, to all of you “dat nevr hapned tu mi” crowd, I bet if I go to your post history I would find a post or five about something you never had to do.
