Well, even if I take l4 angel blockade - ~20M in bounties, crappy loot and so-so salvage - you should be able to run it in 60 minutes or so… it takes my ham loki 35 minutes but only if I focus on triggering as many waves as I can asap (by the time I kill rats from previous wave next wave is around the range of hams)

Collecting the data on how long it takes to run given mission and the payouts (which is one time investment) is the point here - just by knowing which missions to always turn down unless you risk locking yourself out of agents is the key to increasing isk/h substantially.

Angel Extravaganza is a fairly good one, the bounties clock up but the biggest reward is one of the 2 Zorrs implants that drops from a structure, most of the time it’s the common implant that’s not worth much, some of the time it’s the rare one that fetches good isk.

problem is that it takes too long to run (although I didn’t time it - just looked at spawn list and distances to gauge the time it would take to run it) - I can cram 2 smash the suppliers in one hour if I desire so. That is almost 200-220M/h.

I do realize that many people don’t want to run anti-empire missions but even non-burners often end up paying close to 30-40M total - and it would require over 5h for doing single mission to reach such low numbers of isk/h I see people quote as “truths”. At this point I ask why they don’t stick to l3s till they improve their fitting and flying skills?

They drop from zor, which is present in both “right hand of zazzmatazz” and “damsel in distress”.
Zazzmatazz is blitzable under 60s (from warpin to warpout), while damsel needs eg a marauder to take the incoming damage.

The loot is (from zor)

- zor worthless implant (100%)
- zbikoki hacker card (100%)
- zor hyperspatial (5% or so… weird for 2 weeks I drop none then I dropped 3 in like 10 missions)

On point. At this level, doing L3 would be better.

Indeed, most of the time I don’t run it, occasionally if I have nothing else to do I’ll accept it.

Selectively discarding stuff like Extravaganza in order to run 2 or 3 others that pay less individually but collectively are a better isk/time investment is a prime example of using knowledge to optimise gameplay.

This requires to have made all missions several times, to know the triggers, and to have the ability to purchase a ship dedicated to that one mission.

I means, depending on the mission some ships are definitely better than others.

I do damsel just fine with ~600ehp/s loki - granted, I benefit a lot from sigtanking which you can’t really do in battleships and it does require proper knowledge of how to pull transversal (and this I learned on npsi harb roams with Tel’Kontar from spectre fleet - I just did few hours of beam harb l3s in minmatar space to practice a bit trying to mimic how he moved the fleet)

True, for a couple of L4s rhml typhoon/praxis with mjd does way better than my loki (mjd to target and blast them, no need to slowboat nearly 100km)

yeah but then you have crap damage.
Also two webbing drones spawn, that will reduce your speed to … a 5th ?
I mean, a marauder can just sit here, shoot the structure, when zor spawns switch to zor, then tractor it and back to structure, bastion out when structure goes down warp off.

Don’t know really, I skip it as it seems to me the reward is too low compared to zazzmatazz.

torpedo phoon for the pirate invasion. RHML for the one… don’t remembe rthe name, you have to shoot two transporters 100km away and their group.

I may well be mistaken where it drops from, looking at eve survival the drop in extravaganza is a random implant. My bad.

This info is all public domain. Eve Survival pretty much covers all of this, listing bounty, some of the loot drops and even suggesting suitable ships.

There is a difference between theory and reality.

Experience is very important to know what you can and should do in a mission.
Also, not being afraid to try different things.

In theory, you just need to look at the triggers to blitz blockade. In practice, you need to adjust trajectory, in order to not get shot too much by the groups when you go from one trigger to the next.

In theory, you can just alpha zor fast in zazzmatazz. In practice, if you are too slow you may get webbed, and torpedo’d down by zor while trying to get to him.

In theory, you need to omni tank in scarlet. In practice, you just need to blap him twice.

my loki has 700 dps which is fine when combined with capstable 600 ehp/s tank and ab.

Precisely. Knowing what to do is extremely important. for example surprise surprise spawns stasis turrets 70km away - but at highly predictable location. So when you see one of battleships going down you should be moving closer to that location - ham javs take it down in 2-3 shots, the rest is peanuts.

And experimenting is important - sometimes small change can increase speed of running missions immensely.

Yeah, I agree with you; theory and reality are very different.

Having the mission structure laid out for you is one thing, using that information effectively is another thing entirely.

Eve survival isn’t a magic fixall strategy, it’s a source of information that if used in the correct manner allows you to construct your own strategies and refine them through experience.

Indeed, I just tried the barghest with 2 nano for zazmatazz and not only do I gain 1s to warp, I also gain 5s kill time !!! yeah !
Same for scarlett, I use only two gyros and now relies on two nanos + inertial and I gained something like 10s+ completion and 1s align !!! It’s like I went from 4 min to 3:30 so a nice increase 🙂

Well that goes exactly in my definition of crap. With a marauder you can get twice that, and more EHP/s (though I think 600 is okay ? can’t remember).

600ehp/s is not that much. The big gain is in the fact that it is permatank as I’m cap stable to the point where I can even take on some neut pressure, which combined with sigtanking makes the value closer to 2K ehp/s (but the moment I am webbed situation can become very hot very fast - remember, I run mostly anti-amarr missions, webbers and neuts are quite common).

EDIT: Lets not forget tracking disruptors and points. EWAR is pretty common in anti-empire missions - in fact tracking disruptors is why I don’t use guns in the first place, and larger than ham missiles have issues with hitting frigates.
