I think you have done a dis-service to many people by your title, it is not that hisec should be more safe, but that the penalties for criminal behaviour should create more content.

I have suggested a number of times that once security status goes below a certain level the character concerned can no longer dock in hisec Empire stations. This was not from a desire of safety, nor from a desire to punish them directly, but more to make them rely on player structures to create the possibility that people might start interdicting them and there being a value in doing that.

I always thought that those tags were a seriously bad idea by CCP and I would remove them, another buff to ganking that not one single ganker acknowledges, but without them loitering as a Tornado ganker would be made more difficult.

On the other side of this tethering should continue to be allowed where they have the right to do so. Because you do not want to make it impossible.

Regretfully your ill advised choice of title has enabled the normal forum posters to go to town, so please think through when you say things.

To give you an idea, I am now officially happy with the state of freighter ganking because it is no longer possible to bump with no consequences at all. This is the type of balance you need to get to in terms of hisec.

Highsec interdiction from a citadel is damn near impossible. Not to mention the fact that a ganker holding corp can easily just anchor 30 structures (raits will do it) and you’ll have to have like 150 people to cover the exits.

While I agree with the concept of player content, and people fighting gankers, it’s not really feasible without allowing proper interdiction in highsec (bubbles). That said there are certainly complications to allowing this, which would snowball out of control quickly. Bubblers would almost immediately end up concorded after dropping a drag bubble on a highsec gate.

Poor choice of words on my part, I meant threatening those people who allow them to dock in their structures, and blowing them up if they continue to allow them where it is possible of course and removing the gankers own structures. That is what I meant by interdiction, perhaps strategic interdiction is a better way to say it?

What? Why? Who are you (or me, for that matter) to decide what an alpha should or should not be able to do? And why would this be an issue in the context of suicide ganking, which is what we’re supposed to be talking about here?

> [@Old\_Pervert](#):

> going red in an alpha just encourages players to not pay for a subscription game

How does allowing alphas to go red encourage them to _not_ pay for a subscription? What are you basing this assertion on? If anything, it might encourage them to go omega so they may run at least 2 accounts and do the whole thing properly, if they happen to like it after having tried it…

But this is none of your business, nor mine for that matter. This is entirely up to CCP and would be a purely _business_ decision not having anything to do with making high sec safer or not, which is what this thread is supposed to be about…

They didn’t explain clearly enough in the NPE (that didn’t exist when most of these whiners started playing, assuming they would have even done an NPE to begin with) that Eve isn’t meant to be a safe space. Anywhere. Not in highsec, not in lowsec, not even docked

LOL. Agreed.

I’d just call it wardeccing. And I’d support concord controlling ACLs on empire stations, it doesn’t affect me at all. It does fit with the idea of sec status actually being relevant, and it would certainly provide counterplay options.

Purely an opinion, that a game which uses money to stay online should receive money from the people who play it. I’m a fan of paying for what I use like any other responsible person.

You’re quoting half of what I said. I specifically evaluated the exact thing you’re criticizing in the other part you didn’t quote.

An actual trial should be permitted to go red. Someone just using an alpha account because they don’t have to pay for it should be encouraged to pay for it.

Oh and you can completely evacuate it with neutral characters and even if you fail that all the gank mats will magically teleport to the next NPC station for a laughable fee.

Sound silly to suggest NPC station docking nerf under that conditions right? But that is obviously just another step. As an ag forum tears officer, Drac has to push step by step to not make it look like he wants to kill off ganking (which is nonetheless the final target as it hurts his deep rooted white knight feelings), which is why he is so pissed about the thread title.

Hi Drac.

Who cares? People are out in space shooting ■■■■. If that makes them feel better, more power to them. NPC stations are controlled by NPCs, which in the context of lore, are moderated by concord. It makes sense that concord, who will 100% attempt (pathetically) to engage someone of poor sec status, that they would bar access to an NPC station.

Sec status, as it is, may as well not even exist. It’s irrelevant to anyone who knows how to hit “warp”. Worst case you just ping around in a system to avoid getting concordendeded. Adding NPC station ACLs tied to sec status would immediately make it more relevant.

Oh, a lore justification, nice. Actually the stations are owned by NPC corporations which are either independent or belong to a faction. They have absolutely nothing to do with CONCORD which is only there to intervene in capsuleer vs. capsuleer business. The corporations and factions have their own standing with each pilot, so wouldn’t it make sense to take that in account instead?

A low security status means I killed other capsuleer and not their faction friends, so why should they even care if I have otherwise good standing with them?

No, it would just mean I have to tether somewhere which is more convenient anyway.

In the end this is just another push for a nerf to highsec ganking to make it step by step more inconvenient in the hope that it will one day suck so much no one will do it anymore.

Have you done any of the Trig content? Rewards are fairly decent and I am rather happy with CCP for producing good enjoyable and resource generating content in hisec. I much prefer this to VNI ratting in nullsec for example.

As for safety the gankers have picked off some off some of the invasions runners a number of times as some of them are bling boats, which is fine.

Botting comments, please don’t.

I have ships I setup to do skirmishing in invasions and they scale well for Emerging conduits, because they have ramped up DPS, webs, remote repping and excellent tracking and can handle the last wave easily. I then have one of these ship with a salvager and then have ten salvage drones going. It is intense work but it works for me, so do you want me to contact you in game with fittings and stuff.
