Maybe you do that. I fly logi. When I’m in-harness, my whole job is ‘save lives’. I have no illusions about what exactly is inside those cracking eggshells I’m trying to hold together. And every one we lose stays with me.

We’re nothing of the sort. People claim immortality because they’re just really, really uncomfortable with the idea that we’re disposable and mass-produced, with a new Arrendis popping out of the dispenser whenever the old one gets broken. Just copies, all of us.
