# How long to recover old account

I have the urger to EVE again after fiddling with an Alpha account for a week.  
I submitted a request to recover my old account last used in 2017 but have heard nothing not even an acknowledgement after 5 days.  
Any way to track request?  
How long does it typically take?

If you remember the password you should simply be able to login. If you requested a password reset, it will be sent to the email address originally associated with the account. If it requires more than this, security needs to confirm your identity and it could take a while.

My last account related ticket took 3 weeks to receive the first response, other people got a response in a day…so it seems to vary quite a bit at the moment.
