# How to configure the launcher for 64 bit version, How to configure the launcher for 32 bit version

The 64 bit version of the launcher requires latest version of wine to work. To configure the launcher for 64 bit version please do the following.

- Start the launcher.
- Click on EVE launcher in the apple menu at the top left corner of the screen.
- Select preferences.
- Enable ‘Run clients with 64 bit’.
- Make sure that ‘Use Dev version’ is not enabled.
- Make sure wine version is set to latest.
- Click Ok.
- Close the launcher and the client if either is running.
- Then restart the launcher.

To configure the launcher for 32 bit version please do the following.

- Start the launcher.
- Click on EVE launcher in the apple menu at the top left corner of the screen.
- Select preferences.
- Disable ‘Run clients with 64 bit’.
- Make sure that ‘Use Dev version’ is not enabled.
- Make sure wine version is set to latest.
- Click Ok.
- Close the launcher and the client if either is running.
- Then restart the launcher.

If you are on the Latest version of Mac OS X 10.15 Catalina then the 32 bit client is not an option for you. Apple has removed support for 32 bit applications in their latest OS Catalina.

By now most of the issues that were affecting the 64 bit client should be resolved. You should be able to run the 64bit version without any issues.
