# How to distinguish r8-r64 without notebook or good brain

A notebook or cheatsheet like [cerlestes.de - Ore Table for EVE Online](https://ore.cerlestes.de/moon) would be the easiest.

But if you don’t want to use a notebook and cannot remember which ores are which, it’s all written out in the skill descriptions.

For example take the ‘Exceptional’ moon ore (r64):

And you have another reminder in the descriptions of the crystals.

You can get the Rare (r32), Uncommon (r16), Common (r8) and Ubiquitous (r4) moon ore names the same way.

It’s quite disturbing that we are calling the ore r4, r8, r16, r32 and r64 ore rather then ubiquitous, common, uncommon, rare and exceptional though.

The information dialog for Monazite is titled `Exceptional Moon Ore`, the dialog for Exceptional Mining Crystals lists the names of the ores that can be mined with it, but if you ask people what moon they have on their station they won’t say `rare and ubiquitous` but `r32 and r4`…
