# I built New Eden Command — a free Windows companion for capital pilots, routing, assets, skill planning and more

I’ve been building a Windows desktop tool called **New Eden Command** for EVE Online.

It originally started as a jump-range calculator because I wanted something quicker for working out capital routes, fuel and jump ranges. It gradually turned into a much larger EVE companion app.

Some of the things it currently does:

- Capital / Jump Freighter / Black Ops jump calculations
- Automatic multi-hop capital routing
- Real CCP SDE solar-system coordinates
- Jump Drive Calibration / Fuel Conservation skill support
- Fuel requirements and estimated Jita isotope cost
- Systems-in-range search
- Cyno legality and station-aware routing
- Route map and saved routes
- Send destinations and waypoints directly to the EVE client
- Multiple character support through CCP SSO
- Character location, current ship, wallet and skill queue
- Asset search grouped by system with estimated ISK values
- Contracts and industry jobs
- Skill Planner
- Capital operation planning and fuel logistics
- Hunting / roaming tools using public activity data

The UI has also had a big overhaul recently. I wanted it to feel more like an actual **New Eden command console** rather than a basic Python utility.

It’s now distributed as a normal Windows installer, and once installed it has an **Update Center** for future releases.

Go to **Releases → Latest Release** and download:

**`New_Eden_Command_Setup_v3.4.6.exe`**

The `.ejpupdate` file is for people who already have the program installed.

Character integration uses the official CCP SSO/ESI system. The project is on GitHub so anyone who wants to inspect the code before logging a character in can do so.

There are still things I want to improve, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people who actually fly capitals, JFs, Blops, hunt, haul, or manage multiple characters.

Particularly interested in:

- features you think are missing
- routing situations it gets wrong
- UI annoyances
- useful capital-operation tools
- anything that takes too many clicks

The program is free. If you find it useful and want to support development, **optional in-game ISK donations are welcome to the character `JamesOverlord`**. Absolutely not required — using the app and giving feedback helps just as much.

If people find it useful I’ll keep developing it.
