# I cant contact all channel，including the local one...help plz

hi,can anyone tell me what should i do?  
i cant contact all channel,and also cant join a new one.  
and in all channel,i can see no one, even the local channel in jita  
really need help,plz,qwq

I had a similar problem in the CCP support advised me the following:

The chat system requires that port 5222 on your connection is open. The following help center article details how you can check to see if the port is open:

[Chat Issues](https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/5885820948252-Chat-Issues)

You should also ensure that the following addresses are whitelisted in your security applications as it may not be enough to just open the port:

[tranquility.chat.eveonline.com:5222](http://tranquility.chat.eveonline.com:5222)  
[tq.chat.eveonline.com:5222](http://tq.chat.eveonline.com:5222)
