I already made a 3D model with a CAD, it looks like this:

 ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/c/f/c/cfc6c94d9bb4824c16e18b2dafac4063411bba3a.png)

Here’s some information about it:

General Class Limited Issue Ship（Destroyer）

```
"Finally, CONCORD is not doing stupid things. I've been advicing them to make this command destroyer in to service for months, but they don't listen to me. I have spend two years designing this ship, allowing it to bring a command burst and cloacking module with the smallest signature radius. Everything is excellent. Maybe the only flaw is it's week firepower......It doesn't matter, shooting others is not it's job.
What? The capsuleer edition? Absullutly there is a capsuleer edition. As a cpasuleer, I know how to make full use of this ship. Capsuleers can handle this ship better than any other pilots. "
```

An interview with a capsuleer engineer from Scope on YC127.4.19

Command Destroyer bonuses (per skill level):
10% reduction in Micro Jump Field Generator spool up time
5% bonus to Shield Command and Skirmish Command Burst effect strength and duration
Role Bonus:
250% bonus to ship max velocity when using Cloaking Devices
350% bonus to Turrets and Launchers damage
95% reduction in powergrid requirements for Command Bursts
75% reduction in Microwarpdrive signature radius penalty
60% reduction in reactivation delay for Defender Launcher
• Can only fit one turret or one launcher
• No targeting delay after Cloaking Device deactivation
• Cloak reactivation delay reduced to 5 seconds
10% bonus to security status gains from destruction of non-capsuleer pirates while flying this ship
• Armor Repairer and Shield Booster effectiveness increased by a percentage equal to 10x pilot security status, with a floor of 0% and ceiling of 50%
• Can fit Micro Jump Field Generators
• Can use two Command Burst module

@Ian_Zhang I can’t give much advice cause I don’t know a whole lot about EVE ships, but I can mention a few things for your consideration.

Warp Speed Multiplier is a little high. I would put it at 2x.
Ship Warp Speed is too low. I think most EVE ships go at 3 or 3.5
Reduce the EM Damage Resistance for both Shield and Armor to 20%
Increase Structure Resistance across the board to 40%

Why so many Low Slots but only 2 Rig slots?

Anyway, that’s my grain of salt. Don’t take it seriously.
I like the shape of the ship, well done. Now you need to add hull details and lights.
👍

Not a lot of thought has gone into the design or you don’t know how to model in 3D. In either case, whatever that thing is, it looks like crap.

• Doesn’t have any recognizable EVE aesthetic.
• Not detailed enough – ships in EVE don’t look like they were created by someone for whom it’s his first day working on a 3d modeling software. You need layers upon layers of form and details adding up to a complex piece of machinery. Not just a single-layer giant chunk of nothingness.
• Overall form is incomprehensible and awkward. What the hell is it supposed to be? You can’t just throw together any planes at random angles and call that design. It looks like you wanted to create Barghest vol 2, but didn’t have good enough skills for it, so the end result is that mess.

Try again.

Well, I’m trying to make it similar to other concord ships and I don’t really have a destroyer class concord ship to be an example. I still need to work on it more.

After rethinking about it, I think that you really point out some big problems. I should spend more time on it. I haven’t add a normal or something else on it, so there’s a lot of things to do next (It won’t be gray). Further, the thing I’m triying to make is not a Barghest but a CONCORD style ship. Those CONCORD ships, from frigate to cruiser all look like a paper plane, so I tried to make it similar. Also, i got some part of it from F117,F22,J20, since i want to show that it got a small signature radius.

you need to completely split up aesthetical design and ship property design.

For the aesthetic part and ship model, feel free to try around in CAD, take a look at existing CONCORD ships and try to get something done that fits these lines. Creativity and designing skill is the key here.

For the ship properties however, I can only suggest to leave that to people who have a decade or more experience in the game and know close to everything there is to know how all those properties interact with each other.

You can take exemple on a CONCORD cruiser and scale down the statistics but as far as the overall shape of the ship, what you have is fine, you just need to add the details.

There are different shapes and types of paper planes. If that’s the aesthetic that appeals to you, you might wanna play around with actual paper and fold it to make planes and see what interesting shapes you can make out if it. Then translate that into the digital realm.

The underlying initial shape can be something extremely simple (and it is easier when just starting out designing if that is so). And then you start modifying the form and adding to it. In the end the final form can be made up of as many as hundreds of individual forms making up the complex whole. Bustard, at the end of the day, can be pared down to a rectangle, but when you look at it, it’s hardly just that.

Now here’s a v2.
Since i’m a student, i don’t have much time to work on this. Also, I’m still new in CAD, so i’m learning while using.
I tried to understand the art of eve. The only thing i can be sure about it is that every part of the ship has it’s onw use, so I added two strange thing, showing that it can fit two command burst and have bonus on it.
It’s still a digital rubbish and i really need to improve it.

I think you have a fine starting point for your design.

While I find your baseline symmetrical design ok but you should add asymmetrical elements in the fine details. We as human being does tend to like things that are symmetrical. However in reality nothing is truly symmetrical, however small the imperfections may be there is almost always some imperfections. Take any ship design in EVE they may look symmetrical from afar but if you look them over with a fine comb you’ll learn that they all have small imperfections here and there.

What CAD software are you designing your model in? It’s fine modeling your design in low resolution to reduce the strain on your CPU/GPU but when you render images it should be done in “high” resolution.

I have been trying to learn and do stuff with Blender, so I’m sort of in the same boat as you right now. While my reason are not the same - I’m mainly looking into making models for 3D Printing.

This one doesn’t have that ‘paper plane’ aesthetic you initially quoted and liked about CONCORD ships. I still advise you to play around with actual paper folding to see what shapes come out of that. This is how design works a lot of times. You don’t start from scratch in the digital realm, but you start with something in real life… some form or situation that’s already there. And then you build on that.

The most promising part about your posts is that ‘paper plane’ angle you brought out. So, design your own ‘paper plane’ and then translate it into the 3D. You’ll have a much higher chance of coming up with something worthwhile and interesting. What you have now is an inexplicable mass of whatever that bears no resemblance to the airy and lightweight shapes of the paper planes (or CONCORD ships for that matter).

On the two wing panels. I would add an engine from the Concord battleship, add smaller engines to aft in place of the slots. The Primary Hull would have a slimmer interconnecting section, likr a Klingon D - 7 but thicker. Drop the front down similar to the Caracal, add engines to the ventral protrusion, then skins and lighting to create a Concord Fast Strike Battlecruiser. Don’t forget to add the loading bays.
