I think the clone insurance was a mechanic to teach people to only fly what they could afford. Ok, I have more SP than insurance, no pvp. Hey, I ground missions for a bit, upgraded my clone, lets go pvp. ---

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but free moving SP between characters does: - reduces importance of Attribute Mapping (you collect SP using char with better remap and then transfer to character which needs SP now) - (add to previous) reducing market for learning implants (you only need to buy them for one character and then redistribute SP over your other characters without buying additional implants) - allows for “clean start” when you create new brand character and move SP to him then continue playing while having clean employment history/SS/whatever. (Not that it matters in the age when people welcome “The Judge” into their team right after he showed his real self). ---
