Sure. I’d be in favor of increasing the size of the ship’s maintenance bay to accommodate a small fleet- in addition to making it tankier.

Incidentally, the expansion coming out in 2 days will increase the fleet shield buffs of the Orca 🙂

Bump the ship bay up to 450km³ and it will hold three hulks/three Omens. Not a massive fleet, granted, but if the attackers bring enough ships to overpower an orca while the omens shoot them, they deserve the kill.

> You know how the Eve community is

Yeah? The EVE community is extremely helpful, offering chances and participation for everyone who doesn’t act like a selfish and egocentric a\*\*hole. The amount of effort, resources and time people put into this game purely to _help others_ is astounding.

Sure, _some_ people might try to trick you and lead you into traps, so what… in most cases you can smell the trap with a bit of experience and in other cases you just shrug it off and join a group with a good reputation.

Playing EVE _solo_ out of antisocial “trust issues” is the _by far_ most stupid thing anyone can waste his time with. It’s a horrible game for solo-players. You’d have tons of more fun with just playing the X-Series instead. EVE is a _massive multiplayer online game_ that generates the most exciting and long-lasting memories through _player interaction_, be it combat, diplomacy or long-term goals that a group of whatever size can reach.
Hiding in HighSec because “uhh some evil PvPer might try to kill me…” is hilarious. I mean, whatever floats you boat, but then don’t complain. EVE was never meant for that kind of gameplay and it absolutely shouldn’t be designed around it.

That is not why I play alone. You haven’t been reading my posts at all if you think that.

And you certainly haven’t been reading if you think I’m afraid of getting blown up. I’m in high sec mining solo in a 0.5 system with an Athanor. In case you have no idea what that means in high sec, it means that I can get war deced and lose the Athanor and my ships without Concord intervention.

Want me to fly 20 frigates into a null sec gate camp? I can. That’s not a loss for me.

Want me to fly into your null sec territory and start taking screenshots and posting them on the forums like I did someone else’s territory two days ago? Sure. Tell me where you are.

I don’t know why you hate high sec so much. It’s not safe up here like you keep insisting and I am not afraid of getting blown up. I boldly told you exactly where my home is. I’m even willing to go flying around in your home. I’m pretty sure that I can get quite a few screenshots before you decloak me and scan me down. Let me know.

Wrong, you might not like solo play, but many players do.

Wrong, CCP designed the game, and advertise the game as one where you can play how you like, where you like and when you like.

Just because you hate HS doesn’t mean all other players should too.

I’m like Glendull, I’ve been in NULL, whether that was in Provi or further North with PH, or South renting 2 systems with a few guys in a small corp.

Guess what? Life’s too short to sit on a gate camp, or do constant corp fleets to pay the rent.

So you do what you do and stop criticising others for doing what they do and the game, and forums would be a better place, because there’s room in the game to play however the ■■■■ anyone wants to.

I don’t hate HighSec. I just take it as what it is: an extremely safe area of the game that offers way too high rewards balance-wise - at least at the top end. Nothing more, nothing less.

> [@Glenduil](#):
>
> Want me to fly into your null sec territory

I don’t _want you do to anything_. I honestly don’t care what you are doing all day long, I just tell you that your - in my eyes pretty dumb - way of playing EVE has no value in my considerations about how future changes should look like.

> [@Spacetramp\_Drago](#):
>
> Wrong, you might not like solo play, but many players do.

It’s not about what I like or don’t like. My vision of how the game should be designed just don’t focus HS soloplay that much. And since HS mechanics also influence balance for any other space, I can perfectly live with HS content being nerfed to improve all other spaces in the game.

> [@Spacetramp\_Drago](#):
>
> So you do what you do and stop criticising others for doing what they do and the game, and forums would be a better place, because there’s room in the game to play however the ■■■■ anyone wants to.

Go on, go on. If you can’t stand different opinions, you are free to stop reading a public forum. I don’t _tell anyone how to play the game_, you can sit in the last empty HS backwater system and spin an Ibis for 10 hours in a row each day if that satisfies you. Just don’t expect that when it comes to ideas, suggestions or balance changes, that style of playing EVE has a very high priority on other people’s list.

You do hate High Sec. You’ve said that over and over in your endless uninformed rants about it. And if high sec were to be stripped away, it would be like when local was taken out of null sec- mass exodus which would lead to this game’s demise if it wasn’t reversed. You null bears can’t hold this game by yourselves.

And speaking of losing null sec- If you all were half the risk whores you claim to be, you’d have loved not having local. I’m told thousands quit because null was suddenly too dangerous.

Nobody has ever asked for that. Balancing something for the risk and effort a life there requires isn’t even remotely “stripping away”. No change I advocate for would be even noticable for new players and also wouldn’t break any veteran’s neck. So relax.

No idea, ask Nullseccers if you argue with them.

Oh plenty have asked for that. And you have stated that you would love for features to be completely stripped from HS. Important features. Stripping away the features of HS isn’t much different than removing it.

You specifically stated that you want ice mining to be completely erased from HS. You also implied moon mining be included in that.

So? That is not “stripping away HighSec”. FOBs and Lancers have been removed from HS (and I like that change), did it lead to a catastrophe? No it didn’t. It’s a total difference if I cut someones hair or someones head off.

And all my other suggestions (balanced as aways), wouldn’t be a catastrophe also. They would simply bring more balance to the whole ecosystem.

> [@Glenduil](#):
>
> You specifically stated that you want ice mining to be completely erased from HS. You also implied moon mining be included in that.

In it’s current form, yes. Of course I don’t repeat whole detailed suggestions in each random discussion. You’d still be able to mine some Ice and some Moon ore in HS. Just not as easy and convenient and probably not in the masses like now. Others who are more flexible, more cooperating and coordinating would be able to mine the same. Maybe even a bit more. But with more effort attached. Balance.

Solutions are easy: no static icebelts any more, afk-massmultiboxers and bots shouldn’t rely on the fact that they can log in, undock 20 hulks and just erase a belt convenient in half an hour, putting all the money/resources into one guy’s pockets. split the ice amount from the static belts into randomly spawning ice anomalies (directly warpable) of smaller size and scannable ice sigs of larger size …

My opinion about HS ice mining has been discussed like a hundred times before. It should be more challenging and rewarding more cooperation instead of just undocking an army of altchars and farming the same belts over and over, nothing more, nothing less. So, I’d “obliterate” the _current system_ and replace it with a _better one_.

This simply isn’t true. Not every engagement is against overwhelming force. It can mean plenty against a solo roamer or small gang, especially in null, where you can often shout about it in standing fleet.

> [@Glenduil](#):
>
> Sorry- flying around in a cloaked Pacifer with no resources or group for a month isn’t my idea of freedom. It was barely fun for the hour that I did it 2 days ago. Sure I could easily fly in ventures- they’re free. I could lose a hundred of them hauling around ore with nowhere to dock or store it, but that’s not my idea of fun either.
>
> Or I could just afk rat in an Ishtar like most people do. Nope. Not fun.

Why are there only 3 options, and why are those the options? This seems like a largely self-imposed limitation.

As a solo player, why even go out there in a pacifier to begin with if you’re not going to throw some tackle on it and gank explorers? It has a poor price-performance ratio for most of the activities for which you could reasonably use it. An Astero, Metamorphosis, standard covops, or Prospect would all be more sensible to roll around in, depending on what you want to get up to.

A huffing venture would be a better idea and could potentially out-earn your moon mining operation without even going to null. Also, there are NPC stations in much of null that can be used by anyone.

And I wouldn’t ishtar rat, either, but I don’t see how it’s fundamentally any more boring than watching strip miners cycle in high sec.

> [@Glenduil](#):
>
> I’ll tell you what? I’ll move back to Null when they remove Local again. When Null TRULY becomes dangerous again.

Blackout was the most fun I ever had in null sec, but that’s a small enough minority opinion that it just wasn’t feasible. By the time it ended, it had become boring due to inactivity. It was a blast at the outset, though.

“Asked and answered” is an objection in legal proceedings that occurs when a lawyer repeatedly asks a witness a question that has already been asked and answered, often to badger or pressure the witness. The objection’s purpose is to prevent the repetition of questions and keep the testimony from becoming needlessly cumulative or time-wasting.

I started this game with a venture… I run one of the evil fleets you are describing now - not with bots or any kind of automation. Im not AFK’ing or otherwise roting the system. I, like other fleet commanders, have worked hard to put the assets together in order to turn the profits that we do, despite ganks or gank attempts, other competition and the limited time available due to real world conditions etc. ( not to mention the learning curve that i went through and running a fleet before compression was a thing and the fluctuating market that tanked after being flooded thus killing all profits and shutting me down for at least 2 years)

My suggestion to you: if you want more isk, you need to formulate a strategy on how to do it. If you need helpful advice, there is a ton of resources at your finger tips and plenty of people willing to help. Everyone has a goal of some sort in here. Mine is to create a sudo business based on this industry and venture into ship building later on and also to consider expanding the fleet to such a degree that I can have multiple operations in different quadrants of new eden simultaneously ( hardware permitting)

Im going to assume that your gripe is in reference to Hi sec Mining - more specifically Ice mining, since it tends to be a more limited resource. If you are refering to ore mining, there is a vast quantity of fields thoughout new eden.. You simply need to explore.. in my area, the ore is still there by shut down.. What i wrote above still applies… build your fleet, and find wealth.
