simple fix would be to make it an account varification thing on the account managment screen where you need to provide proof of age via credit card info and thats about it in my opinion EDIT like how if you want to view pornography on your phone using your data sim you need to call up your provider and have them activate it? maybe something similar? ---

Some form of verification might help in some ways, but without monitoring to look for troubling patterns of emerging behavior, it’s not enough. They need a way to keep an eye out to make sure they’re not _making_ addicts. Failure to do that is irresponsible. ---

imo its honestly not real gambling so having some form of verification is enough to me it would be a hassle to get done but honestly if it means i can farm isk while staying in jita 4-4 and doing my market thing on the alt i honestly dont care it just needs to be deflated from the monster people make it out to be and just let ccp do it and if it works well and brings more money into ccp then good and if the haters all hate it and dont use it then also good? Personaly i just want to see the old casinos back in game I WANT ISK and SOMA were a massive part of eve they produced the largest war the games ever seen and some of the best stories in game came from them so why the hate now? Where was the hate on soma then iwantisk? Where was the hate on evebet? It wasnt here was it? It was accepted why? Because it was just isk based and whys ccp hated? Because its isk based and ccp sell isk “im talking about plex” ---

If you know you have a gambling problem, you can and should write CCP - they will block this feature for you, permanently. They have said so already. ---

Mechanics like this make the vast majority of their revenue from a small number of “whales” investing tons of money. If you aren’t going to exploit the whales and gambling addicts then there’s zero point to investing developer time making it. And aside from that, what number do you pick as a limit? For example, I could afford to spend $500 on PLEX tonight and all it would mean is that I’d have to cut back on my other entertainment spending this month (and EVE still wouldn’t even come close to being my most expensive hobby). Someone with a minimum wage retail job spending that same $500 on PLEX would probably fall short of being able to pay their bills as a result. So whose income level do you use to set the limit? ---
