# Is Capital Proliferation Killing Small-Scale Warfare in Nullsec?

Some Youtube Videos claim that you can make similar cash to a Marauder when ratting, with the benefit of not needing to go in to Bastion Mode, so you can always fly aligned out towards a POS or Station that tethers. Haven’t tested it myself, but the videos showed some runs of Nullsec Anos with comparable times to a Paladin (which is probably the fastest Marauder in most PvE situations).

From what I heard carriers are vulnerable while in warp to the next site though. You’re pre-aligning to it, so any blue scout could tell where you’re going and set up a bookmark where your carrier will land.

Then once you’ve finished your site and warp to the next one you suddenly see a hostile ship enter system (or log in) and warp to your site before you, tackle you and light a cyno.

Besides that danger I can see the attraction of ratting without bastion. Your ship is a lot more expensive than a Marauder though. Maybe I’ll give it a try some time, I recently bought a spare carrier. 😃
