I was flying some very low skill Alpha Tristan, with T1 Drones, about 50% OMNI and 20Hp/s shield rep… AB and 75mm cannon, plus two sets of hobs, and a mixed Acol, warrior, hornet. All went obliterated the second the moved out the bay. 75DPS Frig. First room went normal. The Skybreaker… I could not break a flinch of it shield repper… and the DPS projection on my drones… completely insane… I remember this was a T0 Tranquil Abyss… I can only fly Gallente Frig, and Amarr frigs… with normal ships dron projection works… but bit the Skybreaker… I tried to fly away and focus fire on me… no way… one shot and all my drones where in structures… and then death… I get that Abyss is made for hardcore players… but how could an Alpha aver get out alive dealing with a ship worth several hundreds millions, not counting the Vortex Ammo!!! Is it even fair??? The vorton arc is 10km range, if your ship is further away than 10km and your drones are on the skybreaker it won’t keep killing them. You where approching the ship and at 500m away. T0 abyss is easy as an alpha if you know what you are doing ---

At that range you might as well have had blasters. If you’re going to use rails you should be kiting, not brawling. By being that close every attack against you arcs to your drones. Any reason you’re using a civilian AB? How long have you been playing? ---

I had a MWD initially as fit, but I turned to active tank and civ AB bc of power issues… my max range with iridium or thungsten was 8km… My Orbit was set to 7500km and that was my tactic for the whole time, but my drones could barely make 1M that were all shred to pieces… I’ve been playing for a long time… 75mm cannon had 4km range and 750mt opt… those are just the last phase were I had no drones left, and all I could do was trying to use Antimatter within its optimal. That damn thing active cap was really too much. I never made it past 1% of its shield. Both kiting, and with the final kamikaze attempt. That Skybreaker was capable of tanking a 400 DPS Hawk I tell you. This is the point. Not How much time I played. It was a “Tranquil filament”, and as an Alpha, I don’t have access to that kind of money needed for T2 guns, nevermind the skills cap… Maybe a Retribution next time, or a Kestrel, will do better. It was the first time doing a Frig Abyssal solo run. I knew I needed at least 20hp/s to survive. Civ AB was my only option. I could have left the MWD fit, but a Damavik flying at 3Km/s was certain death. My top speed was 2.2Km/s. So 100% I would have found myself completely undefendable anyway. Nevermind in Frigs 3xT0 they send you TWO damaviks at once… It’s just impossible for Alpha’s without all the right skills trained… this is my report… fell free to comment. I will answer. ---

I bought a Kestrel, fit with the suggested fit, and I could kite at 10km, even if it seemed to have a MWD that could reach 2900M/s. I pulled the trig for 3 mins straight and I couldn’t get past 49% of the Skybreaker shield. So I lost the Tristan and the Kestrel now. even activated the 3% Missile special boost to even shield today. Everythingwent smooth untill I reached the Skybreaker. I wanted a seconf round to proof my concept. ThaT thing is unkillable by a normal Alpha player. Much of the time you’re shooting at the skybreaker you’re not dealing any damage because the suppressor is destroying your missiles. ---

it wouldn’t have mattered tbh, he was also using light missiles instead of rockets so would never have had the dps to break it regardless ---

I Made a new fit, the Kestrel FIT proved not good. I orbited the suppressor Automata as a last resort to see if by chance it could damage it… My Drones were all already DEAD. The Skybreaker could reach 3.3K m/s speed if he wanted… So I wasn’t going anywhere… I started asking if my old WORM FIT would still beat this SKYBREAKER or I could find me in trouble… I have an 88Mil FIR WORM that works, but it needs Omega skills. I Made an even cheaper To DARK ship, better than the Kestrel, for only 20-30M… I run 4 times but the SKYBREAKER was nowjere to be found. My Whole point is now find someone that can kill the new T0 DARK Skybreaker I never encountered before as an Alpha. or Omega. There is one fit that uses rockets, and it says it’s for T1 Abyss… Anyway, even with m TOP SKILLS, I could not get past 80 DPS even with rockets… now, with Omega, I have both a Worm and a Vigil that can do 300+ DPS and clear To-T1 like a breeze… I Like all your speculation, but first, record a SKYBREAKER encounter with an ALPHA TOON that can’t fit a LOT of T2 small stuff, so it’s troublesome coming up with a solution that barely scratches 120 DPS and don’t jvae more than 6 zero’s in the total cost… [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/6/e/5/6e5dbe49a4d079c2df9482ad4a3b2e9f855b72fd.jpeg "T0 DARK ABYSS - VIGIL FI 30MIL FIT - The Hunt for the Skybreaker! I use Ace Face for my abyssal fits, since I am alpha, I modify a few of his omega fits. Idk, I have been playing all night long only T0 dark with various ships. Various configs, must be that I’m in Alpha now and all sites are easier— no skybreaker and I have run like 40 of them… I have very good tracking and a 10+km web, and a MWD. Missiles, Energy, hybrids, Drones and rockets (WORM, my fav). Lost zero ships yet… maybe I need to go back to Alpha to feel the struggle, but it keep me a bit making enough isk for a new ship.
