I dont see why not. The rules haven’t changed.

Be able to afford a loss Never fly something (or with something in the cargo) you can’t afford to lose. Yes, not even in highsec. Meaning that you should not fly a ship you cannot afford to replace and refit. Consent to PvP You consent to PvP when you click “undock”. You are not safe in 1.0 security space. [CONCORD](https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203208902-CONCORD) is there to punish, not to protect. Get used to the idea. In most case…

> EVE Academy is the official collection of intro guides and resources for new players. EVE is complex and there are a ton of detailed resources out there - our goal is to provide easy to digest information on various EVE topics to give people the information they need to get started immediately in gameplay that fits their interests. On the [EVE Academy website](https://www.eveonline.com/eve-academy) you can select one of 4 paths: [Explorer](https://www.eveonline.com/eve-academy/careers/explorer), [Industrialist](https://www.eveonline.com/eve-academy/careers/industrialist), [Enforcer](https://www.eveonline.com/eve-academy/careers/enforcer) (pve), [Soldier of Fortune](https://www.eveonline.com/eve-academy/careers/soldier-of-fortune) (pvp) to find guides, information and starter …

The game is cool to play solo or in group and an awful lot is free or damn near given. Everyone should find their niche in EvE if they’re interested in a bit of light-hearted space adventure.
Galaxy conquerors, pirates and warlords have to be more aggressive and invest much more in their playstyles but they don’t have to, they choose to.
It’s all worth it when minor issues are easily overlooked. The UI is a bit clunky, connection isn’t always solid, lots of imbalance in the mechanics, the market is in recession… All that doesn’t disturb me though because it isn’t real.

EvE is an evolving environment. There’s war, betrayal, piracy… Can’t expect a solar system’s setup to remain the same for ever amidst turmoil, conquests and economic chaos.
No one forces you to repel the invaders/pirates. Move to another system. If CCP wants to turn half the hisec systems into lowsec they’ll have to contend with everything that entails. Should be interesting to see how they can juggle all that.
