I think the thing to remember is that ISD’s are volunteers and they can leave at any time. Volunteering is thankless work, regardless of what or where you volunteer. The power to mute someone for 24 hours is not an issue so far, as long as that power is not abused. I also feel the ability to ban people would be a step too far. CCP itself needs to take some responsibility for rules on their forums, when comments or abuse get out of control. I am bit concerned about increased censorship, especially if an ISD has some favorite posters that share their views or ideas or against someone that has views against a certain play style. It would be only natural for a human being to have those feelings. As I said earlier, volunteering is not a forced position and those people should be commended for doing so. Luckily, ISD’s get to sit behind a computer screen and read comments. Some of us who volunteer get cursed at, spit on, bit, kicked and punched, but yet we still do it. So hopefully with these new powers, ISD’s will have the ability and understanding that EvE players are very passionate about their game and sometimes become a little too aggressive with their language. ---
