People like you have been asking for “one-more-nerf” for years and years. CCP gives it to you and you come right back and ask for more. Every time you call it an exploit. Oddball stuff that works in your favor is never considered an exploit, though. ---

CCP has forced almost all PVP out of highsec. They have emptied lowsec by making highsec mining too lucrative (and by introducing jumpfreighters). Pirat is the way it is because that is what the game forces them to be. ---

As others have already pointed out while I was realising it myself, changing the way this works might have unintended consequences, such as Orcas not being able to scoop barges that are being suicide ganked, which they can do now if they’re at the keyboard and paying attention… So I guess CCP would have to either not let barges already being scrambled to dock in the Orca, which I’m sure nobody would come to the forums to complain about, or have to make it work based on whether the ship wanting to dock has a limited engagement, but then that would completely negate a popular form of suspect baiting too… ---

Without changing rules regarding scrams + deposits/swaps for HS vs LS (which is what I was thinking of), no special treatment, agreed. Even then, I see additional issues. So forget about all that. Major brain hemorrhage there. ---

When the ganking process starts … … the miner has been doing it wrong all along. He should be warping out as soon as combat ships warp close … … or there should be someone protecting him, Alpha’ing the catalysts. The third option, storing your ship in another ship … … while under heavy fire … … without consequences for anyone … … is stupid. That shouldn’t be a thing for anyone!
