# Jennifer Corring “JC” for CSM 21 ## A Voice for Amarr, Faction Warfare, and Lowsec \*\* Amarr Victor, capsuleers.\*\* I’m Jennifer Corring, most commonly known as “JC,” and I’m running for CSM 21 because I believe Amarr, Faction Warfare, and lowsec deserve strong, active representation at the table. The Amarr Warzone is my home. It is where I fly, where I FC, and where I have found my community in New Eden. I’m not running because I have a giant list of personal changes I want imposed on Faction Warfare or lowsec. **I’m running to represent the people who live here.** I want to listen to the pilots actually participating in these ecosystems, understand what they’re experiencing, and make sure those perspectives reach FC. My goal is simple: **Represent the people who live in Faction Warfare and lowsec, bring their experiences to FC, and help more pilots find their way into our corner of New Eden, make it their home, and become part of what makes it worth staying for.** * * * # My EVE Story My first venture into New Eden was in **2006**. Like many pilots, I started in highsec running missions and making failed attempts at PvP. Eventually, I convinced a group of friends to follow me into wormhole space, where I formed my first alliance. After an eviction sent us back to highsec, my search for whatever came next took me through **Insurrection and Mercenary Coalition** , to my first Fanfest in 2017, and eventually to **The Collective** in nullsec. There I began FCing, discovered my love for PvP, fought in battles including **X47L-Q and M-OEE8** , fielded my first capitals, and eventually acquired a titan. Then real life happened, and I stepped away from EVE for several years. When I returned, I decided to start over. I extracted everything I still owned to Jita, sold it, and began again with a clean slate. Looking for PvP eventually led me to **Kamela** , where I found a public fleet led by **Misneachail** of Crimson Inquisicion. I joined. Then I joined again. Eventually I stopped pretending I was just visiting and enlisted with the **Amarr Militia**. I fell in love with Faction Warfare and lowsec. Fights were never far from the front door, objectives gave those fights meaning, and I found a community I genuinely enjoyed. That journey eventually brought me to **Empyrean Edict** , where I put down roots and returned to FCing, leading everything from small-gang roams and battlefield fleets to dropping dreadnoughts on the Sosala IHUB. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I’d found my home in New Eden. * * * # Militia Monday In late 2025, we noticed a decline in USTZ activity and started discussing what we could do about it. The idea was simple: **Give people a reason to undock every Monday.** On November 10th, the first **Militia Monday** fleet formed. What began as a small fleet of mostly frigates and destroyers has grown into a militia-wide community with ship requests, activity tracking, prizes, monthly auctions, and a militia-wide SRP program. Since November, pilots flying with Militia Monday have: - Destroyed **nearly one trillion ISK** - Welcomed **more than 100 first-time Faction Warfare pilots** - Grown to an average of around **70 pilots every Monday during USTZ** Those numbers make me proud, but my favorite part is watching a pilot join knowing almost nothing about Faction Warfare. They ask questions. They lose ships. They get kills. They come back. Eventually, they’re no longer the new pilot asking the questions. **They’re answering them.** Building Militia Monday and watching it become what it is today is my proudest accomplishment in nearly two decades of EVE. It’s also a major reason I’m running for CSM. * * * # What Experience Do I Bring? My strongest areas of experience are: - **Faction Warfare** - **Lowsec** - **Fleet Command** - **Small-gang and organized PvP** - **Community building and leadership** - **Helping new and returning pilots enter Faction Warfare** I’ve also spent significant portions of my EVE career in highsec, wormhole space, and nullsec. I won’t pretend that makes me an expert in every area of EVE. It doesn’t. If a discussion involves something outside my expertise, I believe the job of a representative is to find the people who _do_ understand it, listen to them, and make sure their knowledge is part of the conversation. * * * # What Am I Running On? ## Representation Before Personal Agenda I believe one of the most important roles of the CSM is giving EVE’s communities a direct voice with the people developing the game. I’ll have my own opinions, and there will absolutely be issues where I advocate strongly for something I believe in. But a representative needs to understand the difference between: **“This is what I personally want.”** and **“This is what the community I represent is telling me.”** Those won’t always be the same thing. My home is Amarr, but Faction Warfare doesn’t exist in isolation. Amarr needs Minmatar. Caldari needs Gallente. The warzones interact with pirates, neutrals, third parties, industrialists, logistics networks, and the wider lowsec community. We won’t always agree. **Representation doesn’t require agreement. It requires listening.** * * * ## Faction Warfare and Lowsec I want lowsec to remain lowsec. **Dangerous. Unpredictable. Player-driven. Occasionally unfair.** I don’t want to make it safer or sand away the things that make it different from every other area of space. Faction Warfare and lowsec work because players create the conflict, rivalries, communities, and stories that happen there. I want the people actually living in those ecosystems to have a voice when decisions affecting them are being discussed. * * * ## New Pilots and Retention This is where I have the biggest personal soft spot. I want more new pilots to discover Faction Warfare and lowsec. More importantly, **I want them to stay.** That doesn’t mean making EVE easy or making lowsec safe. Sometimes exploding spectacularly is the lesson. But there’s an important difference between making something **easier** and making something **easier to understand.** EVE’s complexity is part of its identity. Unnecessary confusion doesn’t make the game deeper. Faction Warfare can be one of the best bridges between learning the basics of EVE and discovering the player-driven game underneath it. It gives pilots an identity, enemies, objectives, fleets and, most importantly, a **community**. FC can build tutorials, improve interfaces, and explain mechanics. But eventually another player has to turn New Eden from a game someone downloaded into a place they belong. I’ve watched that happen through Militia Monday. My goal isn’t simply to get more people to try Faction Warfare. **I want more people to make it their home.** * * * # What Can Players Expect From Me? **Accessibility.** If I’m asking to represent you, you should be able to talk to me. My DMs will be open. **Honesty.** I won’t pretend I’m an expert on every part of EVE. If I know the subject, I’ll bring that experience. If I don’t, I’ll find and listen to the people who do. **Listening.** I won’t only talk to people who agree with me. If any pilot believes something is broken, I want to understand why. Regardless of affiliation. **Communication.** Within the limitations set by FC, I’ll keep the community informed about what I’m working on, what I’m hearing, and the conversations we should be having. Above all, you can expect **representation**. This isn’t about getting a title next to my character name. It’s about making sure our corner of New Eden has someone in the room. * * * I want to represent the pilots who already call this place home. I want to help the next generation find their way here. And I want to help make sure that when they arrive, they discover something worth staying for. You don’t have to fly under my flag. Hell, you don’t even have to like me. If there’s something happening in Faction Warfare or lowsec that you believe FC needs to understand: **I want to hear from you.** **For lowsec. For Faction Warfare.
