**Day 80:** Hello all, another short update from a new capsuleer. I’m incredibly happy that [Profile - Laura\_Karpinski - EVE Online Forums](https://forums.eveonline.com/u/laura_karpinski), the **CEO of EvE-University** likes my little blog and even sent me a task list 🙂. Of course, I won’t pass up this opportunity and will tackle these tasks in my usual way. I’ll keep you updated on the individual tasks and my progress. If you have any further suggestions for additions to this list, please let me know… This just goes to show how cool this community (EvE University) is. **Day 85-98:** Hello all, another short update from a new capsuleer. I wish everybody a Happy New year and a sucessfull Year 2026 or YC128. What happened in the mean Time? After my CEO Laura gave me some tasks, I naturally set about completing them. First, I attended an EVE University class on PvP fleet behavior. This class was even taught by Laura herself. The cool thing about it was that I not only learned some new fleet commands like “Scatter, Scatter, Scatter,” but there was also a practical component at the end. Now I’m officially on a successful Drake killmail, and not as a victim 🙂 So I’d say task 3 successfully completed. Next, on Sunday I visited a fleet of the EVE University, the “Sunday Gunday Fleet,” where I flew along on Level 4 SoE missions. Even though I personally didn’t feel like I was being helpful, or that my drones caused any damage whatsoever, it was still very informative to learn about the structure and specifics of Level 4 missions. So, I now understand that for effective Level 4 missions, I ideally need a Battleship, and that this will mean an investment of around 500 million ISK for me. I’ve received a few examples, but as always, I’m just lacking the necessary funds. So, it seems I’ll have to farm 400 million ISK… What’s the best way to do that? Perhaps you have some tips? In the end, I helped salvage the loot, and the salvaging processes, bookmarks, etc., were explained to me. I also learned about Salvaging Destroyer and Noctis (and of course added them to my skill queue). To be honest, it was a lot of time for relatively little ISK. That might be due to my inexperience or lack of skills, though. Nevertheless, I can report that task 4 was also successfully completed. Over the past two weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to attend several classes at the EvE University again. As always, some were fantastic, some so-so, and I arrived late to some or had to leave early. Nevertheless, I think this will help me progress, which is why I attend some classes multiple times. The good thing is that some classes are also available on YouTube to watch later. I wish more of these events would be recorded. Personally, I find it very helpful to be able to review (or watch) the recordings from time to time. Finally, I installed a Jump clone in Isbrabata in preparation for Task 5… As you can see, I’ll be keeping you updated. Until then, I wish you all the best, as always. **Day 99-114** Hello all, another short update from a new capsuleer. A lot is happen in the last 2 Weeks. The best part first: I’ve already reported on my Level 4 mission fleet excursions. That’s when I realized I need a battleship to fly them effectively. A few days later, I received a fully fitted Praxis from a player with the words, “Have fun with it!”… Amazing, right? Of course, I immediately joined the next Sunday Gunday Fleet again… Conclusion: The ship alone isn’t enough… That’s what I learned… A Praxis needs an AB/MWD… So you should know your ship… Well, thankfully I didn’t lose it, I was just ineffective… but thankfully that can be changed… Furthermore, I naturally tried to complete my tasks from [Profile - Laura\_Karpinski - EVE Online Forums](https://forums.eveonline.com/u/laura_karpinski) …, so I joined a mining fleet (with Orca or Porpoise boost) several times. I have to say, the compression is quite pleasant. So far, it’s only been regular asteroids, but I’ve decided to try moon mining as well. In the end, I really enjoyed this relaxed gameplay, at least as a change of pace. That completes task 2, and I’ve now moved on to task 1, Homefronts: As I learned, there are regular Homefronts fleets from EVE University that launch from Rens. Therefore, I positioned a jump clone there. I had a really, really nice tutor who taught me the basics. We only flew raids (I flew a specially designed Caracal), and I earned 10 million ISK on each run. The various HF tasks were explained to me, I was shown some HF in-game channels with useful information, and a Discord server where you can find groups if no one is available at the university at the moment … Overall, a very successful evening and, with 10-15 runs, extremely lucrative for me even by my standards… Something I will definitely repeat… Quick update: I think I’ve successfully completed tasks 1-4. Regarding task 5 (joining the LSC community and the Standing Fleet): I’ve done this and also attended some lowsec classes at EVE University, but nothing much really happened while I was in the Standing Fleet. Therefore, I’m not counting that. So, the next two weeks will be dedicated to tasks 5-7. As always, I’ll keep you updated. Until then, I wish you all the best, as always.
