I live in null, yes. But I’m almost exclusively solo-pvp now-a-days. Have too many things in my life and I can’t really commit to fleets. And if you look at my killboard, you’ll see that I haven’t used a Cyno on my ships in almost 2 years.

So yes, I live in null, but I roam around beyond the umbrella.

Is that all you had in mind when you said “see what null is about” ?

Small groups were indyin’ it up in null a long time before Blackout and keeps doing it now. They just did the smart thing then just as now and mitigated risk, running mining operations they can protect from some threats and afford to lose to other threats. What is considered crap space for some entities is pretty good space for a smaller entity that can’t really hit the “respawn cap” as it were.

Outmining a lost fleet of barges takes very little time in _any_ null space, and these entities weren’t really risking Rorquals and Excavators to begin with. Of course, there’s going to be people in those groups too that widdle themselves in fear of the unknown now that Blackout’s hit, but I suspect most of those who were exploiting space without a super umbrella aren’t going to be particularly bothered by having to manage a little more risk. It’s not like risk management is new to any who aren’t living under super umbrellas to begin with.

Besides, Blackout comes with its own little protection. They’re nowhere near as obvious a target now as they were before.

Wow, the more time that goes, the _better_ Blackout keeps looking. It’s just a never-ending series of opportunities opening up for anyone willing to put some risk and guts on the table, while scaring off the worthless and useless who never contributed to the game in the first place. I am _loving_ this.

Can you define what you mean by “try living there”? I’m not sure what you mean by that.

For example: Some people might think “living there” only means mining, or ratting, or explo. Other people might think “living there” just means logging in an out.

All of my money is made from Markets, mostly from Jita (which is something everyone can do, null or not). That means I don’t have to mine or rat. I’ll sometimes do Abyssal sites, but that can be done anywhere, so I don’t know if that counts as “living there”.

Whenever I log in, I’ll usually updated my market orders, then go out for a quick roam, get in a fight or two, then log off. Is that “living there” by your definition? Or do have to do something more than that?

Given your response, i’m gonna assume you don’t know what you’re talking about when you say “see all null is about”. 🙂 Unless of course, ‘seeing what null is about’ is based on what _YOU_ specifically believe and no one else’s style of play will satisfy that definition.

Week-to-week, kills look to be up about 12% based on zkill’s daily history dumps.

Can you reconcile this with the claim that people refuse to play?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there are some people who refuse to play, but the limited data we have _so far_ doesn’t suggest that an overarching statement that “People (in the general, on-average sense) refuse to play” is accurate.

God, damn, Blackout can stay, but not forever : we can for example do 1 or 2 days in blackout per week only.

It’ll be funnier than now… Because now there is no farmers to kill or rorquals for example.

Also a permanent Blackout could be avoided. But why not put it randomly, coupled with the Drifters invasion in one or two regions on the same system as Sanshas? Or to make sure that there is a Blackout 2 days a week

Keep the blackout
Continue to allow Goon losers to smother in their own ignorance
Make Eve Spectacular again!

And, as an added bonus, keep messing with the killboard tards who think that it is their collective right acting in alliance leadership roles, to tell people that it is bad to lose their own internet spacepixels because it “reflects poorly on the alliance.”

Thank you, good night, and farewell until next time.

I’m not using deceptive terminology. CCP Guard let Jin use ‘players’. They’re usually very careful about the difference between players, accounts, and characters.

If that is enough for them to have a problem, then they should get more friends. Or just get better at being alert, _because_…

Sov null is about _holding sov_. You do _whatever_ you have to in order to achieve that. You don’t want to do what’s necessary? Go back to lowsec. Go to NPC null.

X for doubt.

If they were careful, they had changed the label in the launcher ages ago. And they would stop talking about players when they talk about total numbers of characters per day with the exact same numbers. Obviously, they cannot use “Join 17000 characters” or something like that. That would dehumanize the community and discourage people with fragile egos. Instead, they just use deceptive advertisement sprech and ignore this glaring discrepancy.

I dont care what goons do.

I do know null was SOOOO much better before large blocs like the Goons suffocated the fun in the game by winning concession after concession from the publisher that make passive income a thing and relative safety a reality for those player groups.

In short, I will advocate anything that increases the power of the single player against the large alliances.

What of it?

You said there were no rorquals to kill anymore. Rorquals are obviously dying, so what you said is false.

Cool anecdote.

This is funny because if you review the comment threads for the changes that enabled them to do that, you’ll find a lot of goon economic types saying, “This is a bad idea, because this is how we’ll use this to our disproportionate advantage.”

They were usually shouted down by people like you, though, because GRR GONS. 🤷‍♀️

and you really think the blackout will increase the single player and small corps/alliances? I completely disagree. The blackout if not removed will force all those single players and small corps/alliances to join big coalitions in order to gain access to null
