Would you like to enter a system undetected?
Would you like to enter a constellation undetected?

When would it be good for you to be detected and reported?

free ganks

If you’re there for actual PVP you should try to fight response gangs instead of ganking free pve ships. Local is as much a tool to get fighs as to avoid them.

And for your enjoyment of delayed local chat theres wormholes.
Forcing delayed down peoples throats who didn’t want to live in Wormholes before only results in a massive loss of players, especially in smaller corps as we’ve seen with Provi.

Yes - and then appear in local a period of time later, This time lag would depend on security status of the system:
high = instant
low & null = gate/wh cloak + “x” number of seconds depending on system security status and signature radius of your ship.

> Would you like to enter a constellation undetected?

Not sure how useful would this be - I suppose you could add a counter for “Players in constellation”

> [@Xucca](#):
>
> When would it be good for you to be detected and reported?

When someone sees me or my probes - NOT - when a 3rd party bot scrapes information from a list of systems with local chat then flags me as an unknown before pinging players via another 3rd party bot.

- Of course if CCP asks its real players inputting the info into the discord channel not a BOT - I just can’t understand how every single player manages to enter the info in exactly the same format.

**Here’s a question for you :**
If a player is alone in a system should another player be able to know they are there?

it’s not that hard? the parser would get confused if you keep inventing your own formats?

A parser or maybe a form to fill in?
Still, the players have to be congratulated for being so diligent entering that info the second you appear in local

BTW - If you were wondering there are back doors written into some discord music bots that allow monitoring server wide chat.

you know you can drag and drop system and player names and ship type into chat?
It’s literally 3 klicks to put something in intel

But if you entered through another system, you are detectable before entering the place you plan to attack, which would make this feature useless. But if you are undetectable through a constellation, then it would work as you want.

You brought bots to the equation. That is an illegal action. I would like to know your opinion without the bot factor to be fair in all aspects.

> [@Abe\_Rollin](#):
>
> Of course if CCP asks its real players inputting the info into the discord channel not a BOT - I just can’t understand how every single player manages to enter the info in exactly the same format.

I think everyone involved is free to communicate however they want. EVE does not provide that possibility and there will always be liberty to talk live. The way info is entered is by linking the name and system, which is part of the game mechanics. There is immediate verbal confirmation possible, keep in mind you will not know when you are detected. A whole constellation can dock on the spot just with visual and if you deploy probes, keep in mind you have no way of knowing if the system has occupants or if there is active PVE going on, not by history, no map, no dotlan, nothing. You will have to scan entire areas to determine the target location. Simple equal rules, please.

> [@Abe\_Rollin](#):
>
> If a player is alone in a system should another player be able to know they are there?

If I am PVE, of course. I would not be able to take that incoming threat. If I don’t know what’s happening around me at all times, I will not undock a PVE ship. It will be a potential sitting duck with no chances of survival.

Some would come with the derived argument that PVE ships should be equipped with PVP modules, etc… And no, PVE hulls exist for a reason and their defenses are limited, which is an information the incoming threat already has. What this means is an incoming threat is also fitted specifically to attack PVE. If the incoming threat is equipped for a brawl, there is a difference, starting with the hull type selection on the incoming part.

The problem with this discussion, is that the answer is hard, very hard.

If someone with absolute zero knowledge of BO, say someone who fell into a coma 6 months ago, wakes up today and reads your answers or our discussion atm, his conclusion as unbiased observer will be:

WH Space.

The blackout was a great improvement. You ask for CCP to improve the game and they did, too bad you and your corp were too busy cowering in the station to see that. Sadly the blackout is over and the improvement has been removed.

Funny because with all the free intel you get the response fleet is most of the time 10 of them for each 1 of us. So the only way is to strike quick and avoid said response fleet. Pretty tough when intel reports us 10+ jumps out due to local.

Or you try to split off some f1 monkeys from that size of fleet?
If its too many give them a useless runaround and safe log for 15 min so it’s clear again?

Ah so your solution to the free intel that local provides is for PVPers to log off. Great game play there. You should apply for CEO!

If you’re already being followed by 50 man local is not the issue 😃
Ofcoure if your scouting is good you would slip away before you’re completely surrounded in the first place…
If you don’t know how maybe you should stay away from too densely habitated areas?

Did I say I was surrounded? No. You said “you should try to fight response gangs” to which I said that isn’t an option because the response gang has free intel and always come overwhelming.

I didn’t say we are trapped, I said we don’t bother with them because there is no point.

You don’t bother to try because you’re scared of actual PVP.
You just admitted that so you can’t know what kind of content can arrise from situations like this.
Scared littel gank bear, doesn’t want to risk his pvp ship in an actual fight so why don’t you stay out of PVP areas? Join CODE, thats where you belong.

Riiiiiight, I am skurred of PVP, I mean I guess your right I could choose to fight 1 vs 10 and suicide myself on one of the 10. (sometimes we do things like that) But then I might as well just go to Jita and be a suicide ganker. Instead of “PVP” vs your “Response fleets”

You are a skurred carebear ratter that wants to hide 20 jumps deep in your intel umbrella and only undock when you have 50 people to kill one roamer. Then call me scared because there is no point in me engaging that? ROFLMAO. No wonder sov null is a waste land.

Yea i like that Hyperion you welped on 7th of august but 93% ‘dangerous’ tells me you spend more time cherry picking on what to engage than actual fighting.
At the same time you want ‘carebears’ to play sitting duck in the dark to be picked off by the first cov ops hunter walking by.
Coward.

Oh noez I lost a hyperion my whole life is ruined. Who is the coward? Good for you hiding behind a forum alt.

At the end of the day, a person wins by fighting on their terms. The game currently is heavily tilted in favor of the defender, which is favorable to you. Is that a good thing for the game? I guess in the short term CCP may get more subs from people like you. But then after all the boring grinding in SOV wasteland and highsec they will realize there is nothing more to do than grind and eventually quit. So if that is the EVE you want, then you are getting it as CCP agrees with you. Heck, it is so boring that sov alliances are now reduced to arranging fights as they are too afraid to lose anything and there is no reason to take over space as its all the same.

Jup, thats the attitude.
Grow a pair and take some more interesting fights instead of whining about not being able to gank ratters for free.
I allways get fun content with my small gangs because im not too scared to loose a PVP ship.

And that other thing… do you immagine yourself impacting sov by ganking ratters? Im not quite shure what you’re talking about there but i think we do agree that sov warfare needs an update to give people reasons to throw more capital ships at each other.
