Yeah that’s true, but this does not apply to my second argument.

All subscaps will be out of range during alignment at some point. Accordingly, one has to turn back under increased risk. In addition, the already poor earnings decrease.

Put a ■■■■■■■ higgs rig on a battleship and, no, you won’t be.

If you don’t think reducing the overall isk-printing rate of null is a very intentional effect of this, I don’t really know what to say.

Didn’t read all the thread, but…
Tried to roam ‘new’ nullsec on covert Loki - it’s very fun experience without local!
Why people are complaining? Keep it!

With the rig is an interesting idea, thanks for that.

Minimizing the ISK is certainly a point, but quite modestly implemented if that was one of the major concern.
On the other hand, I’d rather wait for the next Economic Report before I really argue. But I suppose that more younger players are negatively affected. Be it because of inexperience, for lack of skills or for lack of knowledge for alternatives or other approaches.
Some people don’t know anything about scouting, while others mine relatively safely in Rorquals. Hence my assumption that it has only a minor effect on the ISK as a whole.

The balance has been moving toward ever-larger entities literally since EVE Online went live. Alliances _exist_ because corporations ganged up and CCP eventually decided to make it official. Forming social structures that allow larger and larger numbers of people to cooperate and succeed is kinda what people _do_. It’s why a species that’s estimated to at one point have been down to under 100,000 individuals currently infests the planet with around 7.5 _billion_ of our worthless butts, with a maximum population density of over 45,000 people per square kilometer.

Ok, I know this gets tricky, but we do it in fleets all the time… if you’re starting to get out of range with your align… _align to something else_.

I wouldn’t. Read maybe the first 10 posts of either thread, you’ve got the gist of the complaints.

Definitely agree that it has been that way since the beginning, however the blackout is pushing that enveloppe so further it is becoming obscene in my opinion.

No, it’s not.

Look, the first thing to understand here is that population growth in the larger alliances is balanced out by a number of other factors. If you look at the [trending](http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/movements), you’ll see that overall, the delta for the largest groups (GSF, TEST, Horde, FRT) is more or less in equilibrium. I mean, I get that you’ve got a specific perception of things… but the data doesn’t agree.

I know some folks that half hinched an archon the other day whilst on a pvp roam; reminded me of the good old days when that was actually a lot more commonplace because people took more risks.

Currently i would say blackout is a lot of fun, certainly for roamers and pvpers. Carebears really dont like it but then they probably shouldnt be in nullsec anyway; nullsec is supposed to be end game do or die - not cower in a station whenever a neutral enters a system 5 jumps away.

In honesty the carebears refusal to pvp has led us down this path i believe - though tbvh i think we could have had it sooner!

Honestly not sure what the other gang is trying to do but with so much there they should have been able to do something; im hoping they at least learned and will give a better fight next time… or a blinger archon 😛

> The big groups might attack a small group, at least in terms of roaming gangs or something. But we all remember RAZOR basically killing off IRC for a number of years by being idiots and pushing too hard. Nobody wants that. It’s in our interests to make sure the little guys, once established, aren’t squished.

I keep pointing out that it was not Razor that killed IRC, but the CFC. The battle for HB-5L3.

> **[zKillboard.com / Related Kills | HB-5L3 | 2012-12-08 16:00](https://zkillboard.com/related/30004228/201212081600/)**

> A battle took place in HB-5L3 (Cobalt Edge) involving 803 pilots who lost a total of 60,244,933,022.34 isk

521 CFC

IRC would have beaten Razor on their own. It was the realisation that while IRC could beat Razor on a full CTA they could not beat the CFC doing the same. So to keep pretending it is Razor was kinda meh, after that people just melted away because they knew that they could not beat the CFC blob.

Now I know you will counter by saying that this was not a full CFC CTA, I know that, but if it only had been Razor, IRC would not have won that fight.

I had a character in a Zealot and managed to successfully dock my carrier which had been repping the outpost.

Yet **again** : The Drifter assault **ended** 5 days before the Blackout began. There are no Drifter fleets roaming around for the PvPers to run into.

It wasn’t even an actual CFC _war_. Seriously, that was 1 FC going to do something with his RZR buddies. That’s it. So if that’s what did it… then what killed IRC was _IRC_. Retreat can be a valid option. Giving up never is.

I think Blackout is totally awesome, and I hope its here to stay. Null space is supposed to be a dangerous place where you have to pay attention to you surroundings.
Old friends who quit the game are now playing again 😃
For all the bears crying about this, do what everyone else does when the game takes a turn that does’nt favor your playstyle, improvise, adapt and overcome. That is EVE.

Which effectively doubled the attacking force, without them they would likely would not have won that battle. That the CFC operated as a group in that battle ended the war.

Like world war Bee or the Casino war, of whatever?

There was however a massive argument between the IRC FC team over that fight as one of the FC’s was very angry fighting with Zealots on the in gate. The rupture caused by that had a part to play, but the over riding feeling was that with the support of the CFC even if partial we could not win. So it was simply seen as the CFC joining in and being there for every do or die fight that caused the failscade.

The CFC accidently…, not Razor, or whatever, works both ways of course 😛 Did you see what I did there?

PS I am happy with the blackout because I am not in nullsec and a lot of contacts are back in hisec, thanks CCP!

Yes, exactly. That was a _retreat_. You know how you can tell it wasn’t just ‘giving up’?

We survived. What’s more, when we left Saranen to come to Delve, CONDI was _larger_ than we’d been when the war started. Our line members were taken care of through the whole thing. SRP never faltered. There were plans in place for ‘if we can’t retake things, what next?’

We retreated. We never _gave up_. Tribute, last month, was a direct outgrowth of that.

And did your leadership ever reach out to Corps Diplo to find out? Or did you just make assumptions and not actually do the work?

As always, before I judge, I do give everything a chance. Now with blackout in null, I hereby want to give my explicity negative feedback.
As an Industry Person, I’m lucky not that much affected myself, but my observations so far are not very promising. As a CEO of a newbie friendly nullsec corp, I really do struggle to keep my guys running. My older Capital Pilots are safe, as we have a Supercap umbrella and they have enough EHP with their Caps to safe them before they die, but my newbies are f u c k e d.
For everyone saying this is just like J-Space: Yes, but actually No. You don’t have cov ops cynos decloak next to you and drop on your subcaps with 50 bombers in wormholes. You can control a wormhole in certain way, so you are basically save from big fleets (no big fleet would go through the effort of logging out in a wormhole, just to get a few kills after hours of waiting. With nullsec nd this blackout it’s much more encourged and easier.
It sucks!
There is no balancing. And I can’t believe it is intended to screw over newer players, while every capital is safe with a super umbrella.

If this was a event to introduce some kind of upwell local structures, then why don’t you just say so? That retarded way of not announcing updates and instead giving us this lore ■■■■ sucks hard. Not saying lore or no-lore is bad. give us both, not either one.

Lots of newer Players from my corp barely go out, some older players unsubscribed.
0/10 for this “event”
