That is a lot of words for saying you want Null safer.
Have you considered that risk vs reward has been broken for years and not that it is being repaired you might not belong in Null sec but actually in lo-sec where the risk is lower?

I would like to see stats on how many toons got un-subbed.
I don’t understand the concept of Null turning in Wormhole space.

Maybe bring in communication nodes to anchor in system that will give local back.

You are so wrong this is not risk to reward that is the issue, it is really about how people got there ■■■■ together and some people were upset that there little raiding parties were made all the more difficult by making the PVP hunter work harder and harder for there kills, I feel for the most part this is more about anti botting efforts then balancing PVP mechanics. Smaller corps really are taking a large hit as well.

One note to add this is also about CCP trying to reduce free play as well. They do not make any money from it and are trying to find ways to expand there coffers more as well, some people seem blind to this fact.

It’s not. Gates still work. Cynos still work. Titans can still exist there.

Null without local is not anything like WH space. So reference WHs at all? It is like saying a red car is like a Ferrari because a lot of Ferrari’s are red.
Null without local is just null without local.

Note B: Well, yeah, they are a freaken company, of course they want to make money. That what a company does broski.

You are wrong.

Anyone who pays attention to the industry can tell you that the subscription model is not where the money is. The money is in f2p+microtransactions. You use f2p to get people into the game, and then use microtransactions to monetize.

In most games, the microtransactions take the form of unlocking UI elements or mechanical options that are throttled or limited. Examples of this are quickslot/hotbar slots, wallet capacity, additional character slots, or convenience items like accessing mail without a mailbox, etc. There’s also cosmetic items, and in some cases, ‘gold ammo’-style improvements, but those are most common in primarily PvE games where that advantage is minimized, or in WoT-style PvP, where it gets used up and is fleeting.

In EVE, those microtransactions are _almost_ purely cosmetic. The things that aren’t are basically Game Time, Multi-Character Training, and Skill Extractors. None of those provide a direct head-to-head advantage, but they all have an impact on the game.

CCP’s biggest problem with monetization is that their cosmetic items… honestly, they’re shooting themselves in the foot on those pretty constantly. Most of the SKINs are pretty ‘meh’, and despite their own developers saying in the CSM 13 minutes that there’s really no good reason to have things leave the New Eden Store… most of it’s not available at any given time. So people who want a SKIN often can’t get it unless they’re spending billions of ISK to get it. That doesn’t pull ISK out of the system, either. It just moves it around.

The Store itself is… really, the interface is terrible. It needs a complete overhaul to bring it more in line with the current state of the art. At the very least, in a game that’s made for wide-screen, played in a time when the _normal_ monitor is no longer the 4:3 CRT it was when EVE was released, and the CEO is posting twitter pics of his single-client stretched across 3 screens… the New Eden Store sits in the middle of the screen with a full 40% of a _single_ widescreen monitor’s real estate unused. Unscaling.

[pic.twitter.com/VG0iovPITH](http://pic.twitter.com/VG0iovPITH)

Imagine opening the store on that setup.

It is no longer worth the Risk when a certain group has every advantage , it is like taking a deer tying it to a tree then having a guy with a gun 5 ft away pull the trigger. Can you honestly tell me it is a balanced system now.

It’s very unlikely that you’ll see that any time soon. This will not be the end of the upheaval. Remember the words Burger was invoking at EVE North as a fundamental part of EVE’s vision: ‘Cruel, but fair’.

I suspect there will be a fair amount more cruelty ahead.

That’s easy:

You don’t have local in nullsec, right?
Neither does the guy hunting you.

That’s ‘fair’. He has no tools you don’t have. You have no tools he doesn’t have. That you and he are choosing to do different things doesn’t make it _less_ fair. For example:

Person A chooses to go BASE-jumping. He leaps off a tall building and plummets, pulling his cord and deploying his para-wing and having a grand old time.

Person B chooses to fly like Superman. He leaps off a tall building and plummets, going splat.

Gravity was not ‘unfair’.

</div>

I can easily tell you it is a more balanced system now. The risk is getting closer to equaling the reward.
You are comparing it to the old system where the risk was insufficient to the reward and demanding that null be one again made safer. Without appreciating that the fact is that null is now the second most dangerous space, as it should be.
No one has every advantage now, where as the instant warning from local did used to give people an unfair advantage. Null has just been restored to its rightful place and again, if you are not up to that level of risk, there are lower risk areas. Lo-sec and Hi-sec.

IRC still exist by the way, they retreated then, same as you, they were just not as good at rebuilding.

I was not in IRC leadership, and I was not exactly impressed with their leadership, the most amusing was the leader of the alliance having his own corp with only him in it that did the super production based in a system close to where Razor could come in and of course no one was aware that Razor reinforced his POS. He raged about it, I found it stupid that no one was in his corp to pick up the information during his down time and he was set up so close to the border.

In any case when FC’s decide to do fun stuff like shooting blues it is a case of smoothing things out and saying sorry, makes no difference.

IRC suffered a major collapse of activity and membership immediately after, and went largely dormant in the area of null politics and warfare.

The fact is and I look at this form a military perspective is how in the hell can anyone enter a area , we have radar I thought by this time there would have been something better then having to Mash D scan.

The Broken part from the PVP perspective is cloaked ships are now completely out of control.

D-scan is your radar. Local would be satellite imagery tracking each and every person everywhere. And no, it’s not GPS: I can leave my phone _home_.
