**to CCP:**
To me, this game has never been more boring in the last 10 years with this so-called blackout. There is little going on pvp wise and there is hardly any motivation to do any of the multitude of things that you encouraged in the last years in terms of pve, building your world within the world etc. It has come down to a boring hide and seek wait game where droppers look for easy prey till they realize there is nobody left. Null is emptier than before and blackout makes that even worse.
You talked about the biggest sandbox MMO yet you force your customers into something else; remove the sand, take away the shovel. Then you work on things that weren’t broken but you fail to take corrective action regarding major flaws like this whole sov thing. What I can understand and support are the efforts that help to onboard new players with faster skilling etc.
More concerning: all those “events” with gifts that aim to artificially boost player engagement (are investors really that clueless about this game?), first with skins, and shirts and drugs, now bluntly with skill points. As somewhat an eve adict myself, that should work, yet it doesn’t anymore - I won’t undock to shoot everyday 1 npc.
I truly hope you realize before its too late that you are pulling the wrong levers to put this game on sustainable ground for the coming years.
PS: no, nobody gets my ships as I have probably spent 8000 dollars in those ten years on subscriptions and if my wife knew that, she would slap my butt rightfully so.

You know heavy fighters a really easy to kill when they are 4K from the ship.
2 or 3 bombers and there’s a few billion isk in dead fighters.
Even guided bombs from a Fort will make a mess of fighters.

So far the black out has been less annoying than I thought it would be. Of course I play in a hard to get to region so thats probably part of it.

My group has been group ratting and mining, while having PvP guys and alts ready for whatever. Some of those who came after us got totally destroyed, in other cases we lost a few ships. But for the most part its been less active for us than pre- blackout.

At this point I dont think I care if local comes back or not.

Delve had the most NPC kills of any region in July.

Other null regions that had previously been in the general neighborhood of Delve on NPC kills have actually fallen off far more heavily.

Goons are not suffering under blackout.

First his is heavily laid on goon propaganda. I Wonder how many people died in this month.

Second, Even if this is the case it wont last. The moment people realize they can roam your space with out any bot-defense reactions, your supers will start dying. I’d imagine by either another super power or some random stealth corp or sizeable power.

Im starting to get curious about something in the blackout. Could this be used for a super fleet hot drop? Questions questions. If so, i wonder what sort of reply we could see on goon space.

3rd, people havent gone there (if what you say is true) because of your propaganda, its a temp defense and after a while there will be a lot more goon defense bots onlining.

By that I mean we’d prefer if 25-75% of _both_ fleets would end up dead after every fight, but again, logistics are a thing, and our enemies are going to use them, so we are, too.

Mittens left us? God, who was I in that staff meeting with yesterday, then? Pod person? Evil clone? **MITTENS-FROM-ANOTHER-DIMENSION!?!?!?**

So, what I’m hearing in all of this is:

1. You’re butthurt over goons.
2. You can’t do basic math (see @Haulie_Berry’s posts [above](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/local-comms-blackout-discussion-thread-part-deux/176410/1713))
3. You don’t understand how people organize and co-ordinate outside of the game (ref: Sgt. Ocker’s [posts](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/local-comms-blackout-discussion-thread-part-deux/176410/1781))
4. You can’t spell ‘Khartoum’ and clearly have never spoken to Mittens.
5. You’re incapable of rational, objective analysis.

Edit: Wait… he _did_ shave off that soul-patch thing a couple of years ago. **OH MY GOD IT’S TRUE, IT’S A MIRROR-MIRROR-MITTANI!! AN INATTIM EHT! THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH!!** wait… wait, no, it doesn’t. Nevermind.

That is why I am so pissed about this fing blackout. Those idiots at CCP released Fozzy saying it would open sov null to smaller entities, which it did to a point. According to Zkill, CONDI had 19,866 recorded losses in July, which is actually fewer than every other month in 2019, save June (when they were deployed).

A: It’s not “my” space. I’m neither in goons, nor allied with goons. My judgment just isn’t clouded by seething hatred for the “red” guys in my video games, is all.

B: Your assumption that they’re botting PvP response fleets is laughable.

Sure. Drop supers in Delve.

Let me grab my popcorn, [dis gon b gud](https://i.redd.it/mhavaf3gmywy.jpg). Replace “Brazilian ju jitsu” with “blackout” and “bear” with “Goons” and this story still works.

What propaganda, exactly? That Goons have the largest supercap fleet in the game and a penchant for dropping them on _anything_ that enters Delve?

That’s just known facts.

Your raving is sort of bizarre in that there’s not even really anything overly difficult to understand about their defensive strategy, nor why blackout doesn’t thwart it.

You realize that’s the part of the defense that _isn’t_ automated, right? Blackout doesn’t change anything in their ability to light cynos and drop the defense fleet on the aggressors. Supers will still die, but it’ll be the _stupid_ untanked ones that are already dying.

> [@Naari\_Naarian](#):
>
> Could this be used for a super fleet hot drop?

Super staging areas haven’t had any less eyes on them during Blackout. If anything, there’ll be _more_ eyes in the various stagings to compensate. In addition, defense fleets are _more_ on the ball than when they could just wait around for intel pings. Are you seriously imagining that any “power” is going to be throwing supers away at the freakin’ Delve Umbrella just because they can’t be seen in local, which is literally the absolute very least important intel tool on that scale of engagement?

Blackout benefits the subcap gameplay far more than it does any capital play.

That said, you should definitely go for it. Go drop supers in Delve. I’d sub solely so I can come watch the single dumbest possible thing you can do in the game be done with such verve and optimism.

Hi CCP,

i received an email 2 weeks ago, last email i had from you was 2 years. the email was all about skills, free skills and some great new content. I logged back in and re subbed, after 10 years of pvping and being a bit older and not having much time i thought i would try some of the other things in eve.

I have found the blackout not to my liking so i wont resub again. Sure if i could devote 2-3 hours to a play session with no hassels from kids wife and uni and work. id do it. but older me can only play semi attentive.

I guess CCP, you might tell me to go to low sex or high sex, but i left there back in '06 for reasons. and like the dirty whore that my first wife was, you just dont go back.

So im sure your log in stats for this experiment include a lot of ex players like me, who saw the lure of free skills and missed the black out and now the tax.

Greetings to all but cpp that is brutally damaging the game.
A month ago I played in my area with at least 70 teammates and we had a lot of fun. When the blackout began, each of them left the game and now we are the same 5 that we have a little hope. I don’t know what they plan to do with this, but nobody I know wants to play because you always have someone by your side waiting to drop you like a coward, yes, that’s because they can only attack you like that and they don’t do it as men.
I don’t know what he’s trying to do cpp but he’s doing it very badly. those who like only pvp live happily because they can kill effortlessly but those who want to have fun in another way get screwed. The ccp are damaging the game and I don’t think they want to correct it because they don’t change the dynamics against cowardly dropers, they don’t give options to those we want to share with others and not just do only pvp. When they make a vote, those who like blackout will win, because those who like us who are the majority, have already left the game.

I’ve had a few more thoughts on your game and I’m going to be honest. I think you have gone overboard with 15 accounts and due to the blackout your game has now become harder because I think you have over indulged.

As I say I have 2 accounts and I would think that 2 or 3 accounts would be enough for a mature type of gamer with some real life responsibility. From my perspective it seems as if you are looking for extreme levels of glory without realising that when something changes within the game you are perfectly setup to feel Extreme frustration. Perhaps what were seeing in this thread are the complaints of pilots who have 4 or more accounts?

Look, you are totally within your right to have 15 accounts and I do take my hat off to you for being able to execute and maintain that, perhaps Eve is becoming game where that is hard to maintain and in order for you to start enjoying the game you may have to scale down to 2 or 3 accounts?

Surely there got to be more room for discussion rather than “It’s hard to play 15 accounts in Blackout so I will quit!” ?

I have 8 accounts. I know other people with well over two dozen. They’re handy for keeping cyno alts in more or less any area you need to get into. For example: Account A has a cyno alt in Venal, one in Vale, one in the Tribute. Leave them logged off and the account unsubbed until a war starts that needs them.

If you’re just looking to use a ton of accounts for making money… SP farming’s still easy, and the prices haven’t crashed enough to make it unprofitable yet. The big SP-farms have hundreds of accounts. At least one HS SP-farmer I know of had been considering voting himself onto the CSM—and looking at the totals Olmeca got, he had the accounts to do it, if he’d run.

Its so polluted right now that the blackout has lost meaning, its purpose to punish people for logging in.

What mechanic was it only at the start of the year that was found to be detrimental to the game because the best way to win against it was to not play?

Three weeks and counting. Dotlan shows a lot of places with ADM’s falling, yet its not going to translate into more conflict as PvP fleets want a fight, not a grind.

Null is just a giant game of hunt-the-wumpus.

Fifteen or 1, the problems with Eve aren’t about local, its much bigger than that an CCP is not only ignoring the big issues, they’re papering over it with the blackout like it actually has some kind of long term value.

</div>

Good all day!

After reading all the branches on “The attenuation of local communications”, I clearly conclude that the developer does not read the forum - this is 100%!

We would see that the events are final, but while everyone is addicted, they play “deeply give a damn” to the players!

Now we tried to find a deep meaning of what the Developers did:

1. One of many is: The developer was bribed for real money by the “Big Game Alliances” for a new redistribution of space ";

2. Second opinion: the developer decided that players should pay more for the game with real money, and not before playing the general strategy ”Plex” for the players;

3. And the third Option: the Developer has run out of adequate “game designers,” has run out of adequate ideas for developing the game, or has simply run out of ideas in the fight for a “fair game” in the fight against bots.

Let us try to consider options for thoughts:

1. The fact that such an idea could not come to normal people, realizing that the players will simply leave the game (which is what happens, judging by the online games). Now we look at changes in the influence on the “global map”, changes, and seizures of regions. We conclude that there are potentially interested Global Alliances Tests, Goon, and so on in this “mode” - we conclude: If adequate developers would never take a step that would reduce online players and reduce interest in the game, then they got another interest , most likely a certain circle of persons with personal financial gain! (it is unlikely that we will now find out about this, since the Developer has long ceased to be clean and open as before);

2. Most likely due to the long-declining online players, the developer really felt financial hunger, since EVE-online is the only project that feeds CCP. In order to “force” players to start paying for the game with real money, you need to “legally wean them” Plex, without changing the general “game policy”. How to do this is very simple, you need to arrange “Plex fasting”, complicate the game process of earning currency, thereby reducing the possibility of buying Plex and paying for playing time inside the game. As a result, most players, who cannot imagine themselves without a game will, pay, this is a fact. On the one hand, an easy decision, on the other - you just had to, for a long time, just pay for playing time - Only for real money!

3. And now the fun part: CCP has long run out of ideas and it seems to me that most of the normal “game design” and programmers have gone to grow in other large and promising companies. Hence the scarcity of ideas, and such mistakes in the decisions of new Events. Moreover, referring to the Fight against Bots - it is all interesting, but they do not want to delve into the problem of the CCP process! Namely, the fact that the extraction of resources is a boring and monotonous task, so the appearance of “resource bots” in the game is purely a mistake of the CCP game design. The solution to fix this is that CCP does not and will not, with such employees as it is now!

However, I have one more thought that: one of the employees cheated something and broke everything that is possible in the game itself, and they presented it to us as an Event! 🙂
