Possibly yes, even though they stated the data was better with even that removed.

Either way around I think Null better get used to becoming the second most dangerous area in null again, especially as I do not think CCP is finished yet.

If you take into account your driving Corps into tighter spheres of influence yeah , and will make it harder and harder for more so called PVP , blame CCP because yes it made Corps trim areas they did not need, boot all the little guys renting making less targets and tighter defense rings. You reap what you sew.

Passive defense system and Passive support systems abound !

CCP got rid of Local the “free” intel system.

Now they should be asking themselves why should a “Low Power” structure provide access to repair facilities (both tethered and docked) and how can corporate offices allow access when the lights are turned off.

The tutorial isn’t the problem. We’ve got a steady flow of newbies in CONDI, and the tutorial’s fine… but then it _ends_, and you get… the career agents. And they’re not so fine.

It’s not a perfect metric for a variety of reasons (like Yodik delivery-kill-spamming roughly 20 zkill pages of progodlegend ventures yesterday), but weekend kill counts are still quite a bit higher than they were before the blackout, so the doomsaying about everyone abandoning ship isn’t all that credible at the moment.

Just by raw killmail ID diffing, post-blackout weekends have been the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th bloodiest of 2019, and I’m not sure the #1 spot actually counts as it’s an extreme outlier at around 50% more kills than any other weekend. Haven’t looked into why just yet. Pretty sure that whatever it was, it happened in The Forge, though. Burn Jita?

Edit: Yes, it was definitely a Burn Jita. Holy ■■■■ that’s a lot of dead coercers.

The botting issue that plagues Eve must be solved right? Local chat is disabled so there should be nothing for bot programs to analyse.

The blackout is kind of like a duct tape solution for all the Bots and RMT going on in Eve it’s great to know there is not a single bot operating anywhere in nullsec.

Has CCP solved the issue of botting and upset the “elite” pilots in the process? decisions decisions, I’m glad I don’t have to make these decisions it seems like a hard call.

I would like to see a statement from CCP mentioning bots as BO reason. I know the BO is directly aimed against loyal pilots gamestyle and so called easyness. As I said before, we (specific) know we earned the comfort.

Except that whole d-scan thing an automated system can use, and analyse, better and faster than a legit player can, sure.

No, and no?

Is this fact? can a bot be programmed to use D-scan?

@Arrendis Also there is a flaw in that logic of a bot using D-scan because there are ships that don’t appear on d-scan.

@Arrendis also a bot analysing local can detect and countermeasure regardless of if its a cloaky, while the blackout is in effect nothing will stop a cloaky creeping up on a bot.

Looks, like CCP has gone and solved botting…what do you think?

Of course it can. It’s a simple matter of a scripted hot-key shortcut, and then the same parsing of incoming text as the local list.

That you’re daft. Of course you can script up d-scan, that’s not a big deal.

It certainly makes nullsec ratting bots _more killable_, yes. The idea that it “solves botting” is ridiculous, though. There are no shortage of other activities for botters to bot.

It’s an improvement on the previous situation in that regard, but it is no solution by itself.

So now players have a possible way to gain more pvp, whoever creates these bot programs will have to re-program the bots to use d-scan which has flaws that wont be worth the botters risk. as i said the botting issue seems to be solved, at least for the time being.

</div>

Kind of renders the bot worthless though. It can’t tell if the d-scan ping is a friendly or not, so it’d have to gtfo on _every_ result and that’s not even all that reliable since something appearing on d-scan can be followed by that result landing within scram range long before the bear can hit warp. D-scan just isn’t useful _compared to_ local.

Of course, if it’s all you have, I’m sure they’ll make do and all, but without local I can think of several _certain_ ways to catch the bot without it having the slightest chance of escape, d-scan automated or not. Without local, bot-hunting is the easiest thing in the world, I reckon.

All that said, Ay Ay Ron here really should spend more time sitting back and thinking rather than speaking out of his arse.
