Well that’s the thing, they need to somehow make it harder for big alliances to exist, eventually breaking them up into smaller entities, before introducing such changes imo. How to do it is another topic. It’s their job to figure this out.

But this is something completely out of this world… up to be a nonsense… nowhere there is something a bunch of individuals can do better than a large organized groups

Well, lemme ask you another, related question:

Can you think of a single thing in all of history that larger, more organized groups of people haven’t been able to adapt to and exploit better than smaller, disorganized groups or individuals?

Because, see… you’re literally asking CCP to invent a solution that _human history_ has not come up with yet.

If you relied on local for your safety, LS has Lots of uninhabited systems. Maybe a move is in order? The Moons are good there too. Ratting is decent there. Bringing more PvP to LS will drive up the price of Clone Soldier Tags (already good isk), Bots wont be able to use Null-Local effectively in their code equaling the death of their Null profitability. Owning a structure should be a commitment and uncommon. Null was designed to be “Lawless”. Before the Blackout, it was down right Sleepy. High end isk, was always supposed to be high risk.
This IS EvE. Embrace the Blackout.

By what measure? You mean small engagements that are kinetic and adrenaline-inducing? Because we get those all the time. The big orgs are better equipped to find and create those, because we can have six, ten, a dozen groups of 50 guys out there looking all over for them, if we want.

That’s the thing: big groups _can act like small groups_. They can act like multiple small groups, simultaneously. And often do. Here’s a partial list of groups within the Imperium who often go after ‘good fights’—and more often than not, get them:

Asshole Squad
BlackOps
BomberWaffe (Boat takes them roaming sometimes)
NGSA (Same)
Insurgent Squad
Liberty Squad
The Ministry of Love (more often, they go ganking, but they _do_ do fleets, too)
~~Reavers~~ Sorry, they don’t exist.
Theta Squad
Space Violence
Whalers
Welp Squad

And literally every skirmish commander we have. We usually send out (without looking at SIGs and Squads) a dozen small roams out a day, not including stratops.

So, wanna try that again?

The problem you’re going to run into is, if an individual can do it, an individual can do it _while a member of a big group_. If a small group can do it, a small group can do it _while part of a bigger group_.

What’s more, the big group can have lots of small groups looking for different ways to do it, so as to find the _best_ way.

And it drops online harder than almost anything that happened in the last 12 years, it must be a great change then (sarcasm).

Natural disasters. Two examples come to mind:
1 Tunguska event. A meteor exploded over a remote area of Siberia, leveled 2000 square kilometers and caused 0 casualties. Now imagine that over a “larger, more organized group” like NY or LA.
2 The Great Chilean Earthquake. The worst (most powerful) earthquake in recorded times caused \<6000 casualties (mostly due to the Tsunamis generated). Now imagine this in a dense populated region.

I hate making RL comparisons to games. 😑

There ARE things that CCP could do that will certainly have greater impact on larger groups, than on smaller ones. Deleting Supercapitals for example. An extreme change that would certainly impact large NS groups the most. I can think of other ones too.

The real questions are just what CCP intentions are, and what are they willing/prepared to do to achieve them?

Are you serious?
Are you really saing that a natural disaster that happen in a few populated area (lets say… 100 individual = 100 Deaths or use any number u want) and cause 100% of deaths = extinction, is better than if it happen in a 1 mil populated zone with 500000 deaths = 50% survives… specie is safe?

Back to game, yes, the larger group will get rid of any incoming changes way better than the smaller oes…in any case

> 2 The Great Chilean Earthquake. The worst (most powerful) earthquake in recorded times caused \<6000 casualties (mostly due to the Tsunamis generated). Now imagine this in a dense populated region.

1. There was nobody there to deal with Tunguska. It wasn’t a thing people had to adapt to _or_ exploit. The reason I make that distinction is that at the 1908 level of technology, no group would have been able to stop it. Doesn’t matter if you’re talking about an individual or a large group, so the issue there becomes survival and recovery. Larger groups, just by virtue of being bigger, would have a statistically greater chance of 1+ survivors than say… 1 person. Or, for that matter, 0 people.
2. Let’s keep in mind the second part: ‘more organized’. More organized groups handle natural disasters better. Yes, absolute #s of casualties might be higher, but preparation will be better. Emergency response plans will be better. Overall, the larger, more organized society _will_ handle the situation better. In 1960, Chile had a population of 7 million. There were 6,000 casualties, mostly from tsunami. The same tsunamis that killed nearly 1 person in 1000 in Chile hit Hawaii, as well. Hawaii, at the time, was already US State, part of a larger, more organized society. 61 people out of the population of 600,000 died. 1 person in 10,000.

Wanna keep trying?
