This is basically the approach I am taking. I had a lot of rare ships parked in Sakenta that I had collected over the ten years I had been playing Eve off and on. I took a three year break due to family issues, and came back two days before the patch that made Sakenta essentially unreachable. Iā€™ll admit, I was salty AF about the stuff I had stuck in Trig space, but eventually someone will figure out a way to make money rescuing that stuff. Thatā€™s how Eve works. If thereā€™s a need, and people are willing to pay, some dumb idiot will figure out how to make it work. ---

Itā€™s not like thatā€™s new. Eve Online players have always beenā€¦letā€™s call it inventive. You have to be in a game where loss matters, and the learning curve arcs back over itself. CCP hasnā€™t been really good at responding to that fact for at least the last five years or so. Save for the expansion we shall not name, May the Door Forever Remain Closed, Ah-men, the content they put out is good(-ish), for some definition of the word ā€œgoodā€. Where they really stumble is trying to balance challenging the older players with attracting the new ones. And they always have. ---

Ah, but his stuff is safe in an NPC station. It may require a fair amount of effort on his part to get it out, but itā€™s still there. Just CCP thingsā€¦ They have this asset safety system in place, but they are more than willing to let people lose all their assets. First brain fart was that offline structure change, now thisā€¦ More to come soon im sureā€¦ ---
