Not so fast. You first have to prove that there was _any loss or damage at all_.

For a precise estimate you should be required to hire a legallly approved expert witness. A financial consultant company for example. On your own costs of course. For emotional trauma you should have to prove that you needed psychological therapy, done in an approved “Rehab center for virtual losses™”. In any case the whole process should be under supervision of an approved lawyer. Also on your own costs of course.

If you can bring forward these pieces of evidence, you have earned my attention and I will open a “ticket” for further investigation. Due to the complexity, please have patience, we will get back to you in 6-9 months.

There is no reason to hire any additional staff for this. That is like pretending they have to hire more people for every event, every new gameplay mechanic or every time they add a new SKINR feature.

_“Who is going to pay all the new artists to design a new SoCT cruiser?”_ 🙄

You’re just making up reasons to dissent out of whole cloth.

Those resources have to come from _somewhere_ and as far as I know CCP’s customer service isn’t the fastest that they have spare time to take on a whole load of extra requests.

What do you think happens when customer service gets three times as many tickets because everyone and their mom is asking for ship reimbursements when every sort of ship loss counts (as long as you pulled your router while dying).

You are naive if you think this extra work will be done for free.

Don’t tell lies! He knows that everything is free and available in unlimited numbers because electricity is _provided by the wall_ and the fridge always _refills_. Where does the legend come from that it is _people_ who have to do all the work to get anything done? Thats a _hilarious_ idea. Gen Z.

To get a ship reimbursed because of ISP outage, just contact your ISP, prove them that you lost [amount of ISK] tell them the current ISK/currency rate and propose they subtract it from your service bill. Maybe put up an SLA or check if SLA is actually included in your ISP contract and if SLA violation is the case.

I just do not see how CCP is responsible for that. You know it also, and keep up this debate just because you dont wanna give in.

If you fail to pay a bill, or miss an important meeting because of ISP outage, you also would never ask the meeting host to make up for the damage would ya now?

They have a bunch of ad tracking stuff in the launcher and when the first updated it to the 64bit version my browser wouldn’t even open when I clicked on anything in the news and offers section because of my ad blocker.

It’s more of a spectrum of responsibility.

Gerard, they already have customer support personnel. They don’t have to hire any more people for this particular issue. Just like they don’t have to hire more people specifically for SKINR tickets or for tickets concerning every new Upwell structure. It would be just another ticket.

And if you were serious, you would stop resorting to strawman arguments. Pulling their router? What did you not understand about ISP/EC confirmation? This wouldn’t be reimbursement for any ship loss, and you know this. You are intentional playing dense because you cannot think of a counter for what is actually being discussed. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing. You are dismissed.

The ironing is delicious

Even if it is the same teams doing the tickets, it’s still exponentially more tickets and the turnaround time is already measurable in weeks.

Just stop looking something free. Your requesting reimbursement for things beyond the control and scope of the game and the company making it. End of.

your answer is in your question, isn’t it? why would internet outage on one’s PC be compensated by Game? and Its tickets like these that make sure, that one odd lucky fkr who does get it compensated, to not get it anymore. so thanks.

He doesn’t understand the simple idea that if CCP would replace ships on connection loss, players would simply ‘pull the plug’ anytime they end up losing their ship.

If he gets his way (obviously unlikely, but still…) I am going to do this on every alt and do it constantly, signing up new alts, buying alts on the market etc just to continuously do it until I have amassed an enormous collection of PLEX then dump them on the market all at once.

Just to prove a point.

No ISP will _ever_ give you their records or acknowledge official responsibility for your “loss”. And anyone can easily fake such an “ISP approval” in Word/Google Docs. Are you naive? Have you ever worked in Real Life business? And why should it matter to CCP if your ISP has problems? Ask the ISP for a refund if you think the problem is on their side, let us know what they say.

For CCP this whole idea is just a waste of time and resources to work on those cases. Solution is simple: No fault on CCPs side, no refund. Simple as that. You are free to sue or bother anyone else on the route to CCPs server then.

That’s why it’s a hypothetical. We don’t know if this is even possible. Notice the use of terms like “assuming”, “if possible”, “In this scenario” in those previous quotes.

I’ll post one of the same quotes I just gave you yet again.

> [@Shion\_Ishii](#):

> As I’ve repeatedly pointed out, this is under a **hypothetical scenario** in which they would be getting outage information from the ISP or electric company. Either the ISP/EC confirms the player’s customer status and the outage time or they don’t.

Again, please read what you’re replying to before you reply.

ISPs nor electrical company cares about you virtual items in a video game. The point isn’t to levy some kind of financial responsibility on them (they have none). It’s simply a matter of confirming you do have service with them and that you did have a power/service interruption at said time. You can’t fake it as CCP would go to the source, the company themselves. Not some PDF you send them.

Here is the same quote again, seeing as you may have forgotten to read it.

> As I’ve repeatedly pointed out, this is under a hypothetical scenario in which **they [CCP] would be getting outage information from the ISP or electric company.** Either the ISP/EC confirms the player’s customer status and the outage time or they don’t.

Reading is fundamental.

So besides answering many extra tickets you also expect CCP to contact ISPs to verify that the tickets players have filled are honest?

And you still think this won’t cost any extra time of CCP?
