Founded at the dawn of capsuleer civilization, MASS first carved its name into history by winning the inaugural Amarr Championship (now known as Alliance Tournament), earning both the legendary Imperial Apocalypse and the Gold Magnate—ships that remain icons of EVE’s earliest era. From there, MASS helped shape the political landscape of nullsec. We were instrumental in forming the original Stain Empire, a player‑driven coalition that existed before the modern alliance system even existed. When CCP later formalized alliances, MASS then formed Stain Alliance which became the first officially recognised alliance in EVE Online, cementing MASS’s place at the foundation of New Eden’s geopolitical history. Led by in-character figures like “The Holy Emperor ‘TRIGGER’” who still remains a part of MASS today. Our legacy spans the rare and the remarkable. MASS pilots were among the few to engage the enigmatic Jovians in DSS‑EZ, recovering advanced technology—including BPOs—from a destroyed Jovian battleship. Moments like these are woven into the mythology of early EVE, and MASS was there to witness them firsthand. We also hold a number of “EVE firsts,” including launching the first player‑owned outpost in the Drone Regions, a milestone that helped open an entire frontier of space to capsuleer settlement. Across the decades, MASS has flown under the banners of some of the most influential alliances ever formed—Stain Alliance, Ka‑tet, Mercenary Coalition, Shadow Cartel, and Pandemic Horde, among others. Each chapter added new battles, new allies, and new stories to a history that spans nearly the entire lifetime of EVE Online. From ancient relics of the Jovian era to the modern wars of nullsec, MASS has been part of New Eden’s story from the beginning—and continues to write new chapters today. ---
