The [Monthly Economic Report](https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/monthly-economic-report-february-2026) for February 2026 is now available! **Economic Trends:** - Destruction Value increased, while Mining and Production Value declined. - Velocity of ISK continues to decrease. - The Mineral Price Index continues to decline, down ~52% over the past year. - The Ship Price Index continues to decline, down ~21% over the past year. - The Module Price Index continues to decline, down ~13% over the past year. CCP has long argued that destruction drives the economy. Yet the February MER shows destruction increasing while mining, production, and mineral prices all fall. If destruction were truly stimulating demand, mineral prices should be rising, not collapsing by 52%. The data suggests that destruction alone is not the economic engine it is often claimed to be. ---
