# MONW — a free industry tool that got out of hand. Hi all. I’m the developer of MONW (monw.dk). It started as a hobby project to stop me juggling spreadsheets across my own characters, and it got a bit out of hand. Seven months on there are nearly 250 pilots and over 800 characters using it, mostly through word of mouth, and the servers have plenty of room for more. So this is the official hello: if you build, mine, haul, trade or run PI, you’re welcome, and it’s free. The short version of what it does: you log in with EVE SSO, it pulls your characters through ESI, and from then on everything is calculated with your numbers rather than a generic pilot’s. Your skills for job times, your ME/TE per blueprint, your hangars so the shopping list only has what you don’t already own, and your structure and rigs with the job cost formula done right. Around that there’s a blueprint library across all your characters, net worth over time, market order checks, mining and PI, and a feed that watches what the game is losing so you can see what’s worth building. There’s also IRIS, an assistant you can just ask things, like what a batch of ships would cost you to build. It uses your own data, and you bring your own API key for it. Directors get the corp’s blueprints, hangars, jobs and structures in the same view as their own, so you can plan a build from corp BPOs against what’s actually in the corp hangar, see your registered members’ free job slots, and hand each job to the member whose character has the skills for it. Corp stockpile targets tell you what the hangar is short of before someone finds out mid-fleet, and moon drills show when the next pull lands. It’s all gated on ESI corp roles, so members see what the directors decide they should. No passwords, no ads, nothing to pay. It’s built by an industrialist for industrialists, and it’s better every time someone new pokes at it. One thing I care about: you only grant the ESI scopes for the features you actually use. Login asks for a small core set (assets, skills, blueprints, jobs, wallet, mining ledger), and everything else, like market orders, PI, contracts, fittings, mail or corp data, is a toggle you switch on when you want that part of the tool. Don’t want MONW reading your mail? Then it doesn’t. Which is the real reason for this thread. I don’t want to guess what to build next. If there’s something you still do in a spreadsheet, a tool you miss, or a bit of the game that just feels underserved, tell me here. I read everything, I’ll answer everyone, and the good ideas tend to end up in the next release with a thank-you in the notes. I’ll keep this thread going with release notes as things ship.
