I am trying to find the tweet but one of the CSM tweeted 'In the future when you ask me the day eve started dying, it would be today" after leaving a CSM meeting. That is the impression I have gotten as well.

Found it:

Without question or they wouldn’t have been spending every cent gained from eve trying to make new games and not improving EVE. How many times have we seen EVE get sidelined for some other project, for that project to then fail and EVE to suffer in stagnation because devs were pulled from it. We are something like 5 failed games deep from CCP with EVE always taking staff loses when the newest project fails.

They ask me to download a file when I attempt to open them so I am unsure where you got it from. I get a raw html when I open it so not sure what the links are supposed to be.

Trying to download the raw HTML from those links only gives the same file over and over since the links end with 20#ITEM meaning 20 is the file.

I already told you. It’s the news feed (CCPs). You can literally see the link in the lower left of your browser when you mouse over.

However, just to write it again, because there’s no need to be distracted by technical challenges, minerals will continue to be fine. They were fine for 15 years before all of the buffs and the introduction of active moon mining. They’ll continue to be fine in the future.

it is not relevant how much ore is in the game if it is not mined… so doing calculations like that would be pointless since nobody mines those ores anyway… small rocks makes for frustrating mining session and NPCs miners strip entire belts clean… when you include the trig and ganking risks… it is not even time or cost effective to mine those belts anyway…

With the removal of all ore asteroids from the moon fracks its obvious there well be _less_ ore in the extraction. _IF_ the frack size stays the same then the asteroids will be _very small_ in many cases. This is very concerning and would have a big impact on to me and other miners.

For example, I have a moon comprised of Chromite, Ochre, Kernite, & Plagioclase. The prime reason this frack exists is the Chromite which is 10% of the moon and I have it set for a 4 week frack. I mine all of the Chromite and some of the Ochre & Plagioclase. The normal rock size in the frack are 74k, 148k, and 220k. A guesstimate of the frack size is in the vicinity of 100+ asteroids. This is currently very manageable for me solo time wise in my Orca and Procurers and takes 4-5 hours to mine. With the removal of the non-moon ores 10% becomes 100% and assuming the frack size stays the same it becomes a huge problem. I don’t even what to guess the obviously way smaller new size of each asteroid and the additional time to mine.

Yes, I can increase the time between fracks which will in turn make the asteroids larger and I’d guesstimate 🤷‍♂️ a 56day frack would almost make them current size of the 4 week frack. Time though would still be a factor and it de-spawn before I could mine it all.

Assuming I am correct I propose CCP implement a minimum frack asteroid size say 74k. I don’t care and I doubt others would care if a huge moon chuck that normally generated 100+ asteroids now only 50+ asteroids.

So **you’re** not going to mine because it’s not easy enough for you. That’s what you’re saying…

Meanwhile the rest if us…

There were miners before moon belts. And there were miners before anoms could be found without probes. And there were miners before excavator drones.

If minerals gets that scarce, people will find those belts and they will mine them.

dude it is a different game now… the demand is much higher… you can’t expect belts and anoms will be enough to maintain the offer in line with the demand… i won’t be mining belt cause i actually have a real life… and many will do the same… those few who will be belt mining wont mine nearly enough… so what then? make pvpers mine? riiight! not many people enjoy mining since it is so boring…

I understand the market and mineral influx was out of balance. but by doing such a heavy nerf, how do suggest people build various things to do various things in?

the ore anoms in null right now cannot produce much, the moons were the only life line to any kind of stable ship production ques. So what magic hat will supply the stuff to build the ships. at some point, stock piles will run low and prices are going to through the roof.

over all it needed an adjustment yes. but this is horrible execution. i would guess ccp will see far more un-subs than it did during black out. because people will no longer need as many alts in mining ships. Not to mention the normal un-subbers who flee when ever a crappy patch is released.

we need more reasons to fight, lack of resources will not encourage conflict. adapt or die i guess.

Still after reading the update of the post, it opens up more questions than it answers:

> “In some cases, they have been replaced with Moon Ore.”

- Is it some as in “some of the moons in New Eden” leading to “you have to rescan all moons” if you want to know whats going on. Is it “some ore types” so there is a rule (that is not published) to estimate of the “new” moon distribution without scanning them?

> Moon mining extractions that are currently underway will not be affected by the ore distribution changes. As such, they will give the ores they promised when the jobs started

- Ok, but they will still refine according to the new table (?) Btw, I would be good to post that new refining table instead of leaving it to the player to merge these new infos with the old dev-blogs that give the refining rates.

As to “welcome your feedback”, I find it hard to comment today, basically not knowing anything new. That the ores go away, was expected since the post last month. If you consider it a “balance” to remove \>70% ores from anomalies and then all ore from moons, I dont see the balance. If you intend this as a patch to increase scarcity, i think it reached its aim.

All I’m seeing is complaint.

You asked for information so I went and grabbed it, not that I needed to at all. Feel free to search yourself if you are unaware of all of the buffs to mining beginning in 2016/2017, that CCP are rolling back.

But yes, minerals will still be available just fine. They always were before moon mining, so statements like this:

> [@Stevens](#):
>
> Not have the ore in other locations reduced by 90%

> [@Stevens](#):
>
> t doesn’t matter if veld is 1000isk per unit if there is no veld to be found.

We’ve seen it all before. Change X that personally impacts someone is going to kill the game, or stop production, or make something unavailable.

Every time, those doomsday predictions have been wrong, because players adapt, as does the market.

So yes, I keep saying minerals will continue to be available, because all the tangents about links not working, etc. are just distractions to what this discussions started about.

For 15 years before moon mining was active, minerals were available just fine. For years before the massive buff to the Rorqual, minerals were available just fine. For years before the introduction of excavators, minerals were available just fine. All that, when the number of players in the game was higher and demand for ships was higher with that.

So you are still ignoring the extreme nerf to anomalies and saying the game is exactly the same as it was 15 years ago. The game has significantly changed since then and this is a drastic nerf. There will actually be less ore available now than there was at that time.

As for the link distraction, you were the one who has claimed there has been nothing but buffs for years, and when I ask for proof you provide 1 link to a normal devblog and then 10 janky links that all show as the same thing. I provided the counter to your posts but those nerfs must not count if mining has received nothing but buffs the entire time.
