> I believe that a lot of isk/numbers on the forum are blowing smoke.

And I believe you are just very bad.

Today I farmed for 36 min and made 58M raw isk. if you add LP value, it’s \*2.3. If you look at 60min duration, it’s 235 M/h. Also I should take loot into account, but nah.

Now if people tell you they do more, tell you how, and you fail at doing it, and I know it’s easy to do better than you, then I know you are doing it bad.

But I guess it’s too difficult to accept you are bad.

Reprocessing was drastically changed to prevent gun mining from ever being a thing again. Gun mining is even less sustainable than a t1 barge in a high sec belt.

Then CCP is stupid for releasing it as a 1 part thing.

>
> This is not true. Incarna (WiS) came out in June 2011. The 18 months prior to that saw the release of Incursion (Nov 2010), Tyrannis (May 2010) and Dominion (Dec 2009). I’m not sure how you get ‘no updates’ out of a total overhaul of the Sov system, the introduction of Planetary Interaction, and the intro of Sansha Incursions… [Edit: here! Show me on the list of release dates where that 18 month period is. Needs to be a completely missing year, remember: [Expansions of Eve Online - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expansions_of_Eve_Online) ]
>
> More, CCP spun up an entirely new studio in CCP Atlanta because they _bought White Wolf_. Guess where WW was. G’wan. Guess. Did you guess ‘Atlanta’? Cuz that’s the answer. And that’s who was working on World of Darkness (the ‘other project’ that was tied to WiS).
>
> But you know why WoD didn’t happen, and why it was tied to WiS? Because CCP Iceland kept poaching _Atlanta’s_ dev time and manpower to work on WiS, leaving them unable to make much headway at all on the WoD MMO beyond making the Carbon Engine, _among other things that were all about management direction_.
>
> Mind you, they bought White Wolf _because it was making money_. The acquisition _made more money for CCP_. If it hadn’t, Onyx Path (former WW writers, no less) wouldn’t have been paying CCP licensing fees to continue working on the pen-and-paper games. And Paradox sure as hell wouldn’t have paid good money to get their mitts on WW and the WoD IP.
>
> It’s perfectly ok to be annoyed at CCP getting distracted with side projects like Valkyrie and Gunjack and so on while ignoring EVE itself… but get your facts straight when you do. It’ll help you avoid being 100% _wrong_. 😉

You may want to familiarize yourself with EVE history then:

> Icelandic MMO developer CCP Games has always made a point of being open and transparent with players. Through tools such as the Council of Stellar Management (CSM) and in-depth devblogs, a great deal of CCP's internal workings have been laid out in...

Fianlly found the actual dev blog linked in there:

> **[Iterative development and what's happening in 2011 | EVE Online](https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/iterative-development-and-whats-happening-in-2011)**

> Hey all, I'm CCP Zulu (formerly CCP Zulupark) and as of about a month ago I've assumed the role of EVE's Senior Producer. CCP t0rfifrans has moved on to become EVE's Creative Director. This means you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future....

This post that shows for a full year the majority of the eve team was focused on Incanra and a limited amount was dedicated to working on features for spaceships. This is combined with CCP telling the CSM they would not have resources for 18 months to improve the game.

And here is them walking back that statement after the summer of rage.

[If you have 18 months, you can probably make two babies. Or not, it’s up to you.](https://www.eveonline.com/article/if-you-have-18-months-you-can-probably-make-two-babies.-or-not-it-39-s-up-to-you.)
(Who includes a period in the url FFS)

So you can see it was very much something CCP said. I exaggerated that it fully costed us expansions, but the dev time cost was huge. Also your time line on why WOD failed in inaccurate as well. After summer of rage people were pulled off WOD to focus on EVE because CCP had just torpedoed their own game. This is part of what killed WOD, with the obvious second part being that after 18 months of work they had basically nothing to show for it.

im not an hardcore industrualist, but obviously, the wast majority of the post in here are about CCP beeing bad.
And rightfully so:
if only CCP would make a total change, right away, instead of infusing angst and fear with every small step…

why is this “starvation period” really 100% needed?

Yeah, and those other teams were working on… **EVE**. Not ‘another project’. They were working on a _part of EVE Online_.

And no, my timeline on what killed WoD isn’t inaccurate. CCP Iceland had been pulling people off WoD before Incarna came out. The few art assets that were actually live when Incarna went in? They were done by CCP Atlanta, pulled off WoD. The additional CQs that went in later? Also CCP Atlanta.

You can walk back the ‘18 month period that eve received no updates’ all you like, it _remains_ what you’d claimed, and it remains **wrong**.

If this is not the most confusing message ever put out by CCP then I missed one.

So if you are removing all standard ores what the heck are you replacing them with?

Secondly I really don’t mind mining in the belts IF you ever fixed them. At least quintuple at minimum the minimum amount of ore restored to an asteroid at downtime. I would not mind the moon mining changes so much if you fixed the badly broken belt design.

Small alliances and corps who rely on minerals from moon mining in null sec will be wiped out by this change.
My alliance is small and we have three refineries that we use for mining.
We barely have enough miners to mine even half of the ore that comes from the moons we have.
Nearly all of minerals we get is used to keep us in T1 ships. We are making zero profit from the minerals.
We lose mining ships and defense ships all the time just trying to maintain.
Forcing us to mine for minerals in the asteroid belts will significantly reduce the amount of minerals we will be able to mine and puts us at a significantly higher risk of losing ships.
As we do not do any T2 production yet, it is more likely we will end up with absolutely no use for the refineries we have.
I have already been asked by the miners and manufactures in our group when will we be decommissioning the structures. The only reason we have them is to be able to mine near them so we can use their defense systems which are actually pretty weak compared to the amount of DPS that PVP fleets bring in to kill us. (constantly)

I predict that 70% of the refineries will now be decommissioned or left offline. The 30% remaining will be those large alliances that build T2 ships and modules.

The increased risk to miners in null simply is not worth the amount of minerals they get from null sec asteroid belts since the base ores are already eliminated, the remaining ores are lesser in quantity, and there are NPC mining fleets to contend with as well.
The risk to reward ratio is so far out of whack now that I don’t know how any small groups can possibly maintain let alone make any sort of profits.

If players were mining enough off the moon drills to PLEX everyone in their groups then I could see this change being necessary. I don’t see that being the situation anywhere except where the groups have enough people to run the entire process from ore to T2 final product and producing enough to keep the markets well fed.

That is not the ‘norm’ in my opinion.

WH fleets, BLOPS fleets, Filament fleets, Cyno CovOps bomber fleets, NPCs and NPC Mining Fleets vs me in my procurer so I can mine a few mil in minerals to build my next replacement procurer.

We will see if there is some way to adapt but it’s getting super tiring having to make 180 degree changes every few months because CCP decides to make major changes to a base game mechanic.

Like everything these days any new release no matter the game or product goes through multiple update releases till a happy balance is found _(though in games this is near impossible unless developers ignore the demands of players, who want thing in their favor, not everyones)_.

This isn’t like back in the 90’s when games were **full tested and balanced** before release. And MMORPG’s and Sandboxes are the worse as they are a living thing unlike MMOFPS’s.

If you expect every update to be prefect you 20years too late, no current game is perfectly balanced on release or even years later. This mainly due to players demanding balances and noofes where they aren’t required and only for person benefit instead of game.

Bad news then, Tiger… we’ll be just fine. If anything, this _helps_ us. As other people have pointed out, we’ve already got 1200+ titans and god knows how many supers. And now… _nobody can catch up_.

I’ve never said we’re ‘too powerful’. I’ve said supercapitals are too damned _required_ for holding sov in null, no matter who you are. _Rorqs_ are too powerful, sure. But organizations are only as effective as they _put in the work_ to be.

And large, more organized groups _will_ always adapt better to changes. It’s inescapable, because even if there’s some specialized task that’s better performed by a small group… we can take our large group, find the best people to do that specialized task, and put them in their own little small sub-group to do that task.

And we can probably stand up half a dozen of those small groups, all at the same time.

Frankly, I would have to assume even more. As I see it, Goons, through NO fault of their own have it too good. Dont ask me why, it’s just a prejudice I have from 10 yrs ago. The organization skills are enough to defeat any attempt by CCP to level the playing field for smaller corps, or maybe even other Null sec bloc’s. You are correct.

I still say Goon’s win. CCP loses, so do we all…

The answer to that quip is obvious. You can’t do in a single player what you can do in Eve. That’s the total sum of the reason. There’s no reason a person shouldn’t be able to do just as this person suggests except that certain other players look down on them with utter contempt and want them to leave.

Why don’t you just make ALL systems Nullsec? Just remove all of Concord and all the rules. Let the entire galaxy become one big CF.
